As another one of our rookies, I like what he is bringing to the mix. I like his compete level even though he has played a lot of hockey. A little more finish, which I think will come with experience, he is going to be a very solid NHLer.
He has bought in to what the coaches are saying, he is being more physcial and learning that aspect of NHL hockey. He is not Magnus Arvedson.
Like him a lot, but he needs to improve his first step. That's become more and more apparent as the year has gone on and he's gotten more fatigued. If he can improve acceleration he will be a top player, if not I don't see him being more than a nice 2nd line piece. Other than that he has made very impressive strides over the year. He will be a 50 pt guy, which is great.
There was a few times it looked like he was in pain, last game.
Nah I think he's just battling fatigue and the minor bumps are adding up. Just because he shows jump doesn't mean he is doing it because he feels fresh. He is doing it because he knows he must raise his level of play, combine that with a long season that he isn't used to and you are gassed more often than not at the end of the shift. Looked like he was struggling to keep his breathe after long shifts last game.
He is a clutch player, he is known for this although I would not be surprised to find out he is playing injured.
