I hope so, it seriously reminds me of a more geeky version of Velma if that is a possibility.

Wow, EHM really is realistic. I've lost Landeskog, Staz, PAP Downie and Sergei Kositsyn to injuries.

No, wait, it's not because i've also claimed Erixon, Cowen and Brassard this season. LOL.

So, Wichita, KS is in the middle of getting it's LARGEST snow fall on record. What does my company decide to do? Oh well we HAVE to stay open of course (not before more than 25 employees call in and a few DIRECT Supervisors and everyone that's involved in managing the company not show up).

On top of that, the people who called in, are NOT getting dinged for it, like we were all told would happen otherwise...

And it's snowing like crazy, I'm not sure how tomorrow is going to go, if I'll be able to make it. If I don't and they decide to ding me, per company policy, I'll be let go, I'll have gone over the maximum allowed absences (which includes illnesses w/ Dr's notes, that's what my absences account for).

How's that even remotely close to "fair"? Answer? It's not, gotta live with it, but I needed to vent!

I bet that's the storm that passed through here last night. I had to shovel today. About 10 inches deep. And I have a 2-car driveway, on a corner lot. That's a LOT of shoveling! (Yeah, I know, #3rdWorldProblems...)

It's caused a record snowfall for Wichita, 18 inches and counting...

I'm just pissed at the whole, "Oh we care about our employees"...well how about closing the workplace because of RECORD SNOWFALL!?

On top of that, the people who DID call in because they couldn't make it, which can be legitimate, are not getting anything counted against them. What if I can't make it in tomorrow? A very real possibility because it's supposed to continue into the night, and on top of that it's going to freeze and cause some DANGEROUS driving for us (we're not that used to snow here)

Such a weird storm. Usually Wyoming gets way more and I only got maybe 2 inches.

I'm in the opposite boat. Nebraska FREAKED out over the potential snowfall, everything closed, and we got maybe 3 inches. Ridiculous. This is the 2nd time this winter this has happened. I can't believe Nebraskans of all people can't handle normal winter weather. Of course when the Weather Channel is doing everything they can to stoke fears (playing ominous music while the cover the storm they happened to name "Q") I suppose you'll tend to see panicked masses flocking to the stores like the Mayan Apocalypse is really about to happen and schools/businesses closing like crazy.
