Agreed. Once someone holds a grudge against a player they blame every little thing they do. They find things that that player did wrong

The Penguins are loving that stretch pass. Devils defence needs to keep the right intervals to stop that.

Its not easy to change the hivemind.

He is fine in the defensive zone, but slow on rushes.

When you're getting paid what Volchenkov is it's easy to become the goat when things go wrong.

Exactly. They perpetuate this myth with lazy analysis.
I'm saying you act like the announcers are demeaning the Devils by suggesting they play the trap. You have the mindset that the hockey media is just against NJ as a team when it isn't necessarily true. You and several other Devils fans read way too much into it.

Agreed. Volch always played around the same minutes in Ottawa. He had more freedom to hit but he's always been an elite PKer. Lou knew what he was getting so hold the grudge on him.

I LOVE how much we are using the D shots this year. LOVE IT. Not that long ago we would throw it back down low only to have it turned over and go the other way rather than just throw it in there and hope for a good deflection or rebound.

Defense is all about your ability to recover. I believe Ken Daneyko once said that.

Greene-Larsson with several nice pinches to keep play alive. They're just so good together

I thought it was one of those situations where a guy gets hurt blocking a shot but the refs let play continue.
