I get liking Roszival and wanting him back in the lineup, but why all the Brookbank hate? He's a fine number six d-man.

If you've watched a single Hawks game at all this year, you'd know Brookbank is responsible for about 10% of the Hawks' turnovers.

3rd line has been money lately, why mess with it. Now the 2nd line has been a disaster at times.

He's fine as a number six guy. He was rough his first couple games but I thought he was fine after that.

He's even better as a #7 D. Roszival is the better D-man, but he will need to be rested occasionally to be ready for the playoffs. Brookbank will be needed to spell him on occasion. Love the defensive depth on this team!

Like I said in the first place, I get wanting Roszival back in there. I'd prefer him there, too. But Brookbank is fine as a number six guy, especially to come in and spell Rozy or be inserted for a game that could get scrappy, whatever. Good depth, indeed. My mere point was the "good riddance" sentiment regarding him was a little odd to me. Guess that's how it is when your team hasn't lost in regulation yet.

In comparison to guys like Boynton, Cullimore, O'Donnell....Brookbank is much better.

To be fair that's like saying chlamydia is better than AIDS. As many others have echoed, Brookbank is fine as a #7 to rest Rozy and keep him healthy for the playoffs. Would be wise to pick up a vet off the waiver wire in case injuries hit later.

/\ Those stats are terribly off. I can remember Brookbank giving the puck away twice within 5 minutes in a game.... and Oduya, ah nevermind .. the stat is just wrong.

However, I must say that both Brookbank and Oduya have been much better in the last few games.

There's no way he has 10% of turnovers anyways, that's ridiculously high when you think about the number of players on the team, the number of games he's played, and his time on the ice in those games.
