If someone jumps you from behind in an altercation do you stop and see who is doing it first? Get real. So how big is Gallagher? He fought someone bigger. Your argument is very flawed

Around 1:25 you clearly see Gionta go after Orr.

I highly doubt Orr fears Gionta
I think this is what all the Leafs fans here find hilarious. Nobody on the Habs puts any sort of fear into the Leafs.
Don't **** around with a known heavyweight not expecting him to do what he does best.

It's weird but years ago I was playing in a tournament in Montreal and someone did the exact same thing to me...Something is wrong with those Montrealers.
I wasn't sure but they mentioned it on the telecast and I didn't really catch it but Gionta wasn't blameless for what incured and then Bourque sucker punched Orr and he turned around and dropped him with one punch, I would say, they got Orr's drandruff up.

A) I'm not from Montreal nor Quebec, and I live just outside of Toronto
B) You can deny all you want that there is no bite, the NHL's disciplinary committee will determine if there was or not. In the end you and I can believe what we want, I believe what I seen. Burden of proof is not in Grabo's corner.

why don't you watch the replay, Orr made a b-line to Gionta. Gionta didn't start that, nor would he. He may be small but he isn't stupid

Yeh, unfortunately when someone jams their arm in your mouth, it's hard to say their was no contact.

It's pretty clear in the video that patches had grabo's mouth AND nose covered and appeared to be asserting a great deal of pressure. HE COULDN'T BREATHE! This was not a malicious act. Burrows got a fine for what he did which in my mind was ten times worse, therefore, grabo should receive a $200 fine

Even so, what are you arguing? He didn't fight him. It was basically just a scrum until Bourque came in and got greeted accordingly.

C'mon on guys, we're defending biting? It doesn't matter what went down, that's unacceptable. If someone bit Kadri we'd be going apepoop!

Misleading title. Grabovski will not face discipline. He will face a disciplinary hearing, which will last about 30 seconds and will result in nothing happening.

You're right, except judging from this you don't actually understand what 'burden of proof' means.

It's not like Orr did much to Gionta. Gionta skated at Orr, and all Orr really did was wrestle him to the ground. It was only when Bourque came from behind and grabbed and knocked Orr's helmet off that Orr decided to throw some punches.

What!?

Gionta grabbed and threw Orr's stick to the side. Kelly Hrudey said it...it was just not on camera.

Gionta went after him after the Plekanec miss hit..

You think he would just take that from a 5''7 player?

Ottawa fan here...

Did he bite? I am almost certain he did. The reaction of MP was genuine.

Did I think MP should have expected it given their positions? Yeah. He grabbed his mask, had his forearm over an open mouth. MP did not intend to get bitten of course, but the way they were positioned it was inevitable.

I call it more of incidental biting.

If anything has come out of this incident, its that Habs fans don't understand much of anything. Holy hell, I've never seen a fanbase so clueless.

Is this the only image of the forearm afterwards or is there another?

Thanks for the unbiased opinion.. It's pretty simple to stay away from some one's mouth.

Comment was made earlier that our "goons"(which we have none) were not fighting your goons. We have pests like prust, moen, armstrong who are our "fighters", there is no reason for Orr to be going after Gionta like that at all. Only players who are chicken **** go after people half their size, not saying Orr is chicken **** but that was pretty shady on his part. Put Chara in that position on Kessel or Kadri and you'd be all over that

I'm sure he bit him, and I would do same in his position. You don't put your arm across of someones face for that long and expect the person to do nothing about it

I'm sure a Habs trainer or coach took a picture of it if something's really there.

If that happened to one of our players I'd hope and expect someone to jump in like Bourque did, I'm not arguing that, he did the right thing. I just don't think it was a sucker-punch.

Kadri and Kessel are smart enough to know better than to charge at a guy more than half their size.

People who say there was a confirmed bite because of teeth marks on Patches' arm are like scientists back in the 1950s who believed that ice cream caused polio because polio outbreaks spiked as ice cream sales increased (in the summer).

Correlation =/= causation

I don't even know if a picture of the arm would turn the tables anyways. You stick your arm into someone's mouth you probably are going to encounter teeth. Should suspend the idiot for trying to smother someone.

Besides after the Reimer concussion last year I don't feel bad seeing Montreal getting knocked after starting crap in this game.

Gionta turns around and comes at Orr with his stick high, colton wraps him up.. You guys really didn't think coltons going to put Gionta in the ICU do you? Then Bourqe comes in from behind grabbing colton by the helmet and gets sat down.

I don't see the big deal here
