Pretty powerful to have pulled Gionta all the way to him.

Bourque did the right thing, good on him for sticking up for a teammate. Orr lost respect from me, for a guy of Orr's size to do what he did to Gionta in the first place. I would be ashamed if our goon did that to a guy half his size

lol holy troll batman.

Last nights game was very choppy. Both teams maybe went a little far at times. You are clearly a Habs fan in a Leaf forum so unless you're purposely trying to raise your blood pressure, I suggest you go back to the Hab forum and discuss how much you hate the Leafs there. It would be better for all of us...

What's with all these dog analogies? How does the way you treat a dog in any way justify how you treat a person? Pacioretty isn't a child (though he acted like one after that play), he's a 6'2" 196lbs man who grabbed a smaller non-fighter's face from behind, while that player was engaged with one of Montreal's goons.

I'm the second poster to bring this up:

Follow Gionta. He makes a clear 180 at the red line and skates directly towards Orr. It was him who made the b-line, not Orr. Stop going off a brief .gif and actually watch the play. It is not really up for debate.

I understand you want to defend your team, and you don't like seeing a bad game go worse, and your players look even worse than that. But these are the facts with the Orr scrum:

1. Orr goes after Pleks because he/someone else grabbed Orr's stick and threw it away. That's sportsmanlike.

2. Gionta and Orr come together, whether both were totally willing or not, they both engaged. Orr didn't sucker punch him, or anything. He wrastled for a moment.

3. In that same moment, Bourque grabs Orr from the back (100% behind him, no denying that) and tried in some capacity to knock him over/do some damage.

4: In doing this, he knocked his helmet off, Orr came back up and KNOCKED HIS BLOCK OFF, without really even checking who it was.

Now. What would you have done? If you can honestly say, if you were an NHL enforcer, and someone smacked your stick away, you wouldn't want to make someone pay? And if you got jumped from behind while in a pretty standard scrum with another guy, can you honestly say you wouldn't punch first, ask questions later?

Come on man, try to take a step back before you start throwing titles like Chicken-**** around. Especially with Toronto's resident sheriff.

The only thing Grabovski will get is some Frank's Red Hot sauce for the rematch.

I'm not expecting any discipline after Grabo has his case heard.

For someone being 'notoriously known for quick healing', Pacioretty certainly knows how to play up this particular scenario. MAYBE HE WAS BLEEDING BUT THEN HEALED SO FAST IT ONLY LEFT A RED MARK? Like you know, the kind of red marks you get on your thighs after sitting on the can while browsing your smartphone?

But in all seriousness, what could have Grabo done? Lick his wrist? Pacioretty was smothering him while Grabo was fighting Prust in the scrum. Back the eff up.

Valentine's day is coming up. Maxpac just wanted a kiss..why else would he smother Grabo like that?

Shame on Grabo that he didn't wanna continue to be molested.

That pineapple eating jerk.

I would but I don't think the mods would let a picture like that fly around here, and with good reason

He didnt bite him, he just closed his mouth and his arm happened to be there.

All joking aside, if someone deliberately bites someone that is one thing, but if another players is gouging you by sticking hand or arm in your mouth, its probably a natural reflex to bite if your hands and arms are tied up. Going by what we saw, there didnt seem to be any visible cut or damage, so would imagine it was more of a nibble

Hilarious Montreal is using this as a cover up for 3 straight losses to divisonal rivals. Whatever boys, the band aid may work for a little bit but it will deteriorate soon enough.

Instead of whining about , try doing something about it.

So he digs his forearm in Grabo's face and its biting? Not saying Grabo didn't do it but they're disciplining him for Max's word against Grabo's? Makes sense, guilty until proven innocent apparently

It's funny how Habs fans are complaining about sucker punches and what not...

I guess they are just choosing to ignore the real sucker punch Prust landed on Grabo just before the "bite".
