I think its to help out the powerplay. Even just the 2nd unit. I don't have a problem with giving kids a cup of coffee whenever these windows open up. Silver linings and all that jazz.

I really hope this doesn't mean they think Letang will be out for longer than expected though

2nd unit uses 2 D doesn't it?
Yeah. Meant on the top unit though. That's just a tease to call him up and not see what he can with our top talent on the man advantage.

From the marrow of the Morrow, the purest of diamonds are gifted to humanity.

The diamonds of diamonds. The Diamond of all diamonds.

(that's right, we're taking this and running with it!)

If it was Orpik, I feel like Dumoulin would have gotten the call. Though I am probably reading way too into things

I doubt he jumps right into that without at least one practice.

I thought Doumlin would have been next. Big move for a guy who still has trouble in his own end. Still pretty cool.

same. Which is why I think its largely to help the powerplay. And sadly makes me worry about Letang

Worth mentioning though that Despres had his share of gaffes in the AHL this year, but Bylsma promoted him because he thought his talent would overcome.

With Letang out, we could use another dynamic presence to go with Despregasus.

I dont get this bring morrow to help pp that some of u guys are throwing out our pp looked great against wash and even though the top pp didnt score vs nj i thought it looked good had alot of zone time and created chances. I cant imagine them taking martin off top pp.

Well if Tangradi was supposedly the next Kevin Stevens then surely Morrow will be the next Paul Coffey.

Maybe he will rise to the occasion, but I don't feel he is ready for the defensive aspects of the NHL game. I have seen him in person this year and was not impressed with his compete level shift to shift.

He also has his share at the beginning of the season & still has one now & again. There's no way to skip the bumps a rookie defensemen is going to have & he has to have them sooner or later. It's just having this many rookies on defense is very unlike Shero & Bylsma. Just have to wonder how long until we Bennett.

What worries me is that Bombulie has been quoted in the past as saying that Dumoulin was more polished than Morrow and he came from a system that played a very similar style defensively. Therefore, the transition was much easier for him than others. I hope its because they both play a different style whereby Dumoulin is more defensively but Morrow is more gifted or polished offensively (to help the rush).

Also, I hope this doesn't affect Dumoulin psychologically given the pecking order in WBS and how consistently he's been performing in he AHL versus somebody who's been much more raw and only turned their game around in the past 12 games or so.

even if its just for the 2nd unit, I'm for it. Morrow brings a point shot that nobody else on the team has.

One thing for sure, Big Joe doesn't lack any confidence on the offensive aspects of the game. You won't have to tell him to take the shot. He is going to take it. Morrow is going jump up on the play when it is there, and skate the puck if the opportunity presents itself. I think DB will love him as he goes north either with a good headman pass, or taking it himself, very quickly.
