Lower body injury, probably groin.

I hope its because they both play a different style whereby Dumoulin is more defensively but Morrow is more gifted or polished offensively (to help the rush).

Also, I hope this doesn't affect Dumoulin psychologically given the pecking order in WBS and how consistently he's been performing in he AHL versus somebody who's been much more raw and only turned their game around in the past 12 games or so.
I think that's it. After being so bad on the PP Doumlin isn't going to help that problem. If it was Orpik hurt instead of Letang & our PP was clicking fine it would have been Doumlin.

I'm picturing Bylsma looking at stacks of rosters written out and just finally tossing them in the air and saying "**** it, play the rookies"

If its bad news that would last a while, I would have expected to see Dumoulin called up instead or Mark Eaton signed to a deal but he may possibly still be injured.

Yep. Topsy-turvy year, man.

I think DB will love him as he goes north either with a good headman pass, or taking it himself, very quickly.
I'd love to see what his shot and decisiveness could do on the top PP.

Tangers better only be like a Niskanen type IR.

Not good that Letang is on IR. Must be worse than first though.

Uhhhggg

As long as we make the playoffs healthy I guess. With so many games in a short time we can't rush him back.

Yeah, I think it has to do with who's hurt (Letang). If Letang were okay and one of Orpik, Martin, Engelland etc. went down we may have seen Dumoulin brought up instead.

That's disappointing to here about Letang.

First Niskanen, now Tanger. Who is next? Thank god we have depth on defense.

And this ladies and gentlemen is why you can't deal guys like Nisky for a winger.

Injuries happen, we need depth. Luckily in this case, we have some.

So, I guess the next one in line if any of our forwards get injured, is Bennett.

One week, but it can be retroactive from the first missed game.

This, ladies and gentlemen, is why you shouldn't waive Strait for Lovejoy. Because within weeks you'll trade Lovejoy for a 2014 5th, and you might see multiple defensemen hit the IR.

Uncharacteristic short-sightedness from the Pens org.

Then Crosby wont be getting his winger, probably not even Malkin unless it's for prospects.

They would probably just start Tangradi or Jeffrey before promoting Bennett. But if Neal, Sid or Geno gets injured, we are in serious trouble. When a guy like Boychuk plays in your top 6, you know you have serious depth problems.

We have plenty of valuable trade chips beyond roster defensemen that could be used to acquire a scoring winger.
