If this was a hockey game , catcher Hank Conger would be a -8 . He's had 8 bases stolen on him...EIGHT!

Kershaw must want to punch guys when they do this after giving him no run support.

I've been saying this. Agon is a cleanup hitter. You need decent speed to bat 3rd.

And he's been clutch with runners on base, I don't get the thinking at all

During the Dodgers broadcast there was some discussion that it might even be an intentional move to keep Puig from running too wild on the bases -- that now he has no choice, but to pay attention with an actual roadblock in front of him.

It's so crazy how this happens to guys. There are times when they aren't facing the other staff's ace or they are facing another crappy team, and they still can't score runs.

Jayson Stark ‏@jaysonst 7 Aug
Clayton Kershaw, Matt Cain & Gio Gonzalez all had 8th Criminally Unsupported Start of year last night. NL leaders: Hamels 10, Bumgarner 9

I think Hamels just starts laughing at this point. I think the best thing for Kershaw is to go out there and pitch. If he thinks about wins and run support, he'll just get pissed off. Kind of like what Quick had to go through in the 2011-12 season.

That's one of the stupidest things someone can say. It makes zero sense.

Sounds like somethng he would say. Generally when people want to sound smart, they say smart things. Lyons has cornered the market on trying sound smart by saying dumb ****. Remember this is a guy who forgot he was on first base in front of a large crowd at a game when he decided to take his pants off. Not someone you want doing brain surgery on your child. He also loves the phrase "no brain no headache"...he would certainly know.

I can't recall which guy said what, but the comment was followed with an incredulous question going from one side to the other asking why they'd ever settle for a double instead of a triple if at all possible.

Dodgers got starting streaks off losses down pat. 3 of 4 against the Cards is damn nice.

Kenley Jansen had 27 straight outs before the 2-out base hit in the 9th. Hey, he threw a perfect game!

I believe Vinny would call this a "collision" series

Pitching matchups favor the Doyers in 2 of the 3 games...just not tonight.

Really? He sounds like a complete idiot 95% of the time. I don't mind the other guy so much but they are both easily ignorable. We're totally screwed when Vin decides to finally hang up his microphone.

Meh, at least he has a personality. He's not as robotic as the others. He also makes fun of himself a lot. I don't know, I guess I can see why some people wouldn't like him.

I like Kevin Kennedy pretty well also.
