18 straight scoreless innings. When do you get tired of waiting for offense? That ship sailed for me about 11 innings ago.

It's not all the score. They look like they're all trying to hit home runs. No patience for small ball baseball and a lot of frustration. Playing like the score is 14-0.

The scoreboard might say it's a tight score, but mentally, it feels like a blowout. Wasted opportunity after another. The Cards have broken our guys' will so far.

St. Louis fan in peace. Just want to say that I love how this series is like our hockey series with low-scoring games and great pitching/goaltending.

Hopefully, the results will be the same, too.

So far, previous two series have been identical.

Dodgers sweep Cardinals
Kings sweep Blues

Kings lose first 2 games, and win next 4.
Dodgers could lose the first 2 games, ???

K sorry man, I confused you with a different poster. That was his main argument for firing Donny.

And yes TonySCV, it may feel like the ship has sailed but it just takes 1 hit to get the gravy train rolling again.

Dodger pitchers have faced 2 hitters over the minimum and they trail 1-0. That is some grade-A ineptitude on offense.

2-3-2 format makes it a different story. A split and the Dodgers have a ton of momentum. 2-0 Cards is a whole different story.

Not having Hanley, Kemp, or Ethier goes a long way in that ineptitude. Although, they have had plenty of chances with decent hitters up there.

Mattingly does suck, though.

Point taken. And a baseball best-of-7 series is a lot different in many other ways, particularly because there's a different starting pitcher for each team in every game. That'd be like playing Quick only in games 1, 4, and 7...

Puig looks like doesn't want to come to the plate. Completely lost.

Yes he does. Teams have figured out once you get by the second pitch, his confidence drops right off. The Cards did that today and will do it the rest of the series. He had no confidence his last two at bats. The golden sombrero he wore today fit him perfectly.

@Dodgers just a reminder LA teams have been known to come back from a 2-0 hole leaving St. Louis.
He has a point.

However, he shouldn't be blamed for today's game so far. Just complete chokejob from the offense. And Michael Young sucks ass. Hopefully that was his last straw. Van Slyke deserves to be the primary pinch-hitter or the sub for Agon when he gets pulled for a pinch-runner.

He's a poor in game manager. Not even Dodger management will deny that. But last nights game was lost due to a misplay in the field by Ethier which led to the tying runs. Game should have ended 2-0 Dodgers.

Come on man. He hit 500 and 2 rbi's in the last series.

He's a kid who wants to make a dent. Plus he is one of two guys in the lineup that can drive a ball. He probably feels like he has to carry the team.

Just a quick reminder... Puig is a rookie. On the radio, it was interesting, but they were saying that he has an awful poker face and that's what may be getting him in this series so far because Molina can read him like a book and knows what pitches to call.

Anyway... if you get a 2-hit, 1 run outing by Clayton Kershaw, you better ****ing win the game. There's just no excuse for that, especially when you had 2 guys 2nd and 3rd with NO OUTS.

Thankfully, though, they're not out of it yet. They win at home, they can come back to St Louis and try to steal this from the Cards, but they have no wiggle room now.
