Everyone. Every midseason and late season update had him in their top 50 and some in the top 20. Baseball America, MILB.com, Keith Law.

MILB.com has him at 88 - http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/prospects/wat...list=prospects

Keith Law's mid-season Top 50 had no mention of Urias -
http://www.obstructedview.net/minor-...prospects.html

Baseball America had Urias at 41 mid-season, while Baseball Prospectus left him out of their Top 50.
http://www.truebluela.com/2013/7/8/4...derson-dodgers

John Sickels @ MinorLeagueBall ranked him behind Zach Lee at 72 in his end of season rankings - http://www.minorleagueball.com/2013/...-season-update

So I'm not seeing where Urias is a consensus Top 50 prospect but if you have proof otherwise, present it and I'll certainly change my opinion.

You have to look at the chats or published Q and A's.. Urias wasn't even known until midway through the year so when he became a common name fans would write in and ask for where he would be if they knew what they know towards the end of the year. We have a thread about him at scout.com that has these in there somewhere. I will skim through and post them.

What's the word on Zach Lee and Scott Schebler? I know they were both just named top minor leaguers by the team but what's their ceiling and Major League ETA? Does Schebler project to be a career minor leaguer?

Rough game to watch. Keane was invisible, Zardes was bad...just nothing looked right.

What a game. Even if Ed O doesn't get the job I hope he stays on staff.

For those who are wondering, the Connecticut Sun of the WNBA won the draft lottery and will have the first pick.

You're welcome!

On a sidenote, Trumbo traded to AZ for couple of pitchers in a 3 team deal.

The Dodgers ability to outbid anyone, including the Yankees, for top notch talent has clearly been greatly exaggerated.

Not when they're the 3rd best team in their division.

I don't think that has any thing to do with spending, it's maybe dinged their prestige a little . But, they still print money with the YES network.

Not really. The Yanks needed him while the Dodgers wanted him. The Dodgers are driving a Porsche convertable but would gladly store another corvette in the garage.

In fact, as I write this listening to mlb radio, Bowden is hearing Tanaka wanted the Dodgers but the Dodgers were rumored to have not even offered 100 million and refused to include and opt out. They probably offered 5 years with less goodies knowing that if he chose with his heart they hit a grand slam.

I knew someone would bring this up. Bold claims by the Dodgers saying they wouldn't be outbid on this pitcher. Oh well. Pitching isn't really what I'm concerned with with the Dodgers, honestly.

Send a message via AIM to The Tikkanen
Kelly Johnson-Derek Jeter-Brian Roberts-Mark Teixiera-the Yankees needed Tanaka badly. Roberts won't make it out of spring training, have to say I love Soriano in a walk year, he's gonna hit 50 in that launching pad. Kuroda, Gardner, Jeter, Suzuki, Robertson, Johnson and Roberts are also all in walk years.

The spending has everything to do with the fact that they don't have anything remotely resembling a farm system.
