The Calgary pick will most likely be a 31 to 37 pick ... In a deep draft it a very good pick but I think that for ribeiro it will cost more at the deadline ...
Mtl doesn't need an other centre .. We have desharnais plekanec galchenyuk and Eller already we do t need rebeiro we need a too 6 winger .. Anyways we won't make the playoff so we have no need to add either or !! Mtl should and will be a seller at the deadline not a buyer !! We need to draft a guy like McKinnon or barkov or jones and now will be in business

As for Chimera, no way for CGY 2nd round pick as it will practically be a 1st...on top of it in an excellent draft.

As for Ribeiro...congratulations and good luck. We have Gally to develop into a superstar and have no need for Mike's "leadership"....and by the way Dalton Thrower is the pick that Bergevin estimates to be the steal of the draft...but then I suspect that you knew that!

Ignore how fair or not a trade is, Montreal has no need for centers (especially soft centers). Chimera is nice, I just don't see how he fits when we gave a similar contract to Moen (and a richer contract to Prust). So ya, easy pass on both deals without even considering what we send back.

Chimera a redundant player. If the habs ship out Armstrong, I'd be very interested in Chimera to replace Armstrong.Doubt they will, so there's no "real" spot for him.

Guy isn't NHL material. (Armstrong)

As for Riberio. No thanks.

Sorry, I may have not been clear. Riberio is the one who is soft (or at least not physical). He's also the one who is a center. Chimera is redundant with Moen and Prust (based on contracts). And either way, Chimera isn't worth a 2nd from us considering where we are in our retool/rebuild.

No, that's my mistake. I didn't see the deal for Riberio at first.

I'd be interested in Brouwer from the caps he would look good in our top 6.

A line Gallagher Galchenyuk Brouwer could be sick since he is a better version of Prust (minus the fighter)

Matt hendricks could be interesting too at the right price.

Hendricks is a punching bag. Though, he's great at shootouts.

it's not for his fighting ability that i would take him i just like his play along the boards plus he can drop the gloves too even if he isn't great.

Seriously, we don't need or want Riberio.

Ward's hot start aside, I'm not sure why Montreal would want to bring him in. And not paying that price for Erskine.

I cannot imagine Marc Bergevin dialing up a fellow GM to inquire after... Mike Ribeiro. Ribeiro seems to be having a solid season, and has filled in some of the holes in his game since the Habs had him, of course. But still isn't going to remotely represent a player type that the Habs actively seek to acquire.

we want to get tougher, not softer. So we don't want Rebeiro

counter offer:
Weber for Erskine

Ribeiro isn't soft. I can recall a few pretty big hits he laid out this year.
No thanks to the small offensive defenseman who plays right side. With Green, Carlson and Orlov it's far from a need.

As many points as Ribeiro can put up this season, there's just no way I want him back around the Habs right now, whatever the price may be.

This is how we feel about Ribeiro. He is not a NEED for our team. Center is not our biggest area of concern, either.

GMGM should be fired on the spot if he said no to that Chimera proposal.
