I'm not a fan of Kessel, but this is a joke. Seto has little value; Bouchard is a salary dump, so Kessel and Franson for Coyle and a 2nd is what it comes down to. LOL. Have another beer.

Setoguchi won't fetch anything He's a tweener. Doesn't score enough for the top 6 -- not gritty enough for the bottom. Joe Thornton made his reputation better than it should be. I predict he'll be signed for a lot less money next year.

kessel makes too much money for the wild to let go of the cheap granlund and a first round pick. not to mention clutterbuck isn't breaking the bank. just from a salary cap stance, minnesota doesn't do it.

Neither team does this. Wild have no interest in moving Coyle and don't want Kessel. Leafs could do better elsewhere in terms of getting something for him.

All this says to me is that Setoguchi hasn't exactly worked out too well in Minnesota, Bouchard is a hindrance to your salary cap and you don't want to give up a first because they're too valuable. It's a wishful thinking proposal. How does that Clutterbuck+Granlund+1st for Kessel alone strike you? Though still debatable, that's more in line with what it would take.

Kessel will take much more than that and in addition you've included Franson as if he has no value whatsoever. The guy is playing very good hockey for us and is a very valuable D-man considering his size, reach and ability to be a threat on the PP.

Start with Jonas Brodin for Kessel and add another prospect and a 1st.

No interest at all in Setoguchi and P-M Bouchard.
