Only 3 pages in and have some gold. Good job guys.

Thanks for the GDT, hopefully they can get the win tonight.

A win tonight really is a must otherwise were bottom dwellers way to early in the season again. I am not saying I expect playoffs, but to be falling this far behind early in a shortened season would really hurt.

With that said, kind of excited to see what Ricky can do tonight. Hopefully Nassau doesn't boo him to bad.

4-3 Isles win JT in OT.

If we don't win tonight..we need to petition to get Law back or at least find out what has happened to him. (Insert conspiracy theory here)

The people filling in have really been great job at the GDTs but something's missing.

Can Cappy find a way to get Cizikas more than 8 minutes tonight? There is definitely some others struggling that Cappy can cut into and find this guy some ice time.

From the TSN power rankings about the Hurricanes

3-1-1 in their last five, the Hurricanes are playing a wide-open game, leading the league with 36.5 shots on goal per game, yet allowing 34.1 shots per game, which ranks last in the league.

My thoughts; Hopefully this is a fun offensive game where we can get the offense going, and then there is Ricky DP in net. SHould be interesting tonight

Islanders fans haven't been this excited about a Ricky start since 2006.

There is only two ways this game can go. Like the Sabres game, we put up a billion shots and lose 1-0 or 2-1. Or this is our "come back game" and we take 35-40 shots with 5 or 6 going in and we win 6-1 or 6-2. I really dont see anything in between happening.

If the Islanders win and DP actually plays well what are the chances they roll with him again on Thursday with how Nabby has been lately?

Can someone take Pete Rutgaizer to Karako suits and buy him some shirts and ties?! He is wearing puke green again!!

C'mon Man he wears this every 5 games, hell go up Norstrom Rack on old country rd or TJ Maxx.. Please can we all chip in and buy him some new threads? It's bad enough he is on TV but why watch him dress so poorly.

The pros:

• Bailey is shooting. A LOT.

Two shots +/- per game last season compared to 7 the other night. He'll come back down to earth, but maybe a there's more to that short stint when JT was out in which he played #1C minutes and seemed to think he was Henrik Zetterberg for a week.

• Visnovsky on the point.

Though I didn't care for what he pulled since being traded, the guy is talented. If he plays solid, he can rejuvenate the recently terminally-dead power play and take some icetime from the defacto top pairing of Hamonic & MacDonald.

The LONG con:

• Ricky in the cage.

Can't say that this comforts me at all. As much as I hope he steps it up and plays a sharp 60, part of me still sees a roster spot being filled by a highly unreliable x-factor.

6-4 Islanders. Tavares (2), Visnovsky, Martin, Hamonic & Grabner with the EN.

Last edited by CanseiDeSerBreakcore: 02-11-2013 at 06:12 PM. Reason: Maybe 2 for Grabs - the Whalercane's # of shots given up have a multi-goal game for Grabner written all over it.
