Hey, wasn't it just last week or the week before that the Governor basically said Andrea would take over as leader of the town? Because this episode showed that the Governor is more hands on than before and nobody listens to Andrea.
This Andrea-centric episode just showed that she is a broken and frustrating character.
Yeah, the nerd is going to trust you after only knowing you for a few days over say, the Governor who he's been with since the beginning. Smart.
So she goes to the prison. Seeing as how they've been separated for over nine months, this should've been a momentous emotional moment. Instead, it was empty because she has little connection with any of the characters, including the person who she spent most of the year with. Andrea accuses Michonne of poisoning the group against the Governor. Did Andrea completely forget the insane things the guy did?
Carol suggests Andrea sleep with the Governor and then kill him. What? Where did this side of Carol come from? It seemed out of character.
No one really tries to convince her to stay (or maybe Carol convinced her to become an assassin), so she gets a car, gun, and knife despite the twice mentioned limited resources of the group. Thus, Andrea goes back to the Governor for the umpteenth time despite the fact that y'know, he tried to kill her best friend multiple times, collected heads in aquariums, tortured her friends, and shot up the prison. Maybe she was going to be loyal to Rick's group and Michonne, who saved her many times over. Or not. As if she was going to do something smart. I don't even care at this point.
Andrea seems like a wishy-washy character whose only role is to participate the dumbest way possible to move the plot forward.
Calm before the storm. Just showing some peace at each camp before the inevitable war happens. I expect Tyreese to be the only one to survive of the 4 in his group. I'm thinking they go on a raid with the Governor and see how twisted he is, then try to escape before a big battle and all but Tyreese are killed.
Andrea still sucks.
Definitely a filler episode so it was a little frustrating. I can deal with the set up for a good next week, but if there's anything I've learned from this show is to never say, "next one will be good." Knowing this, next week will be 55 minutes of nothing, 3 minutes showing each camp traveling to the other in preparation for an attack, and 2 minutes of actual tactics. Then two weeks from now will be the actual fight.
Alright episode, obviously just a filler/development episode though. Next week looks good.
Andrea is still annoying. She really is stupid, too. Really wish someone would just off her.
Hopefully Tyreese and the girl (his sister, right?) realize what Woodbury is like and find a way to escape. I don't care for the father and son though, I hope they die in the war too. But man, he'll lead the Governor right to the downed walls at the back of the prison and take them right in. Hopefully he doesn't though, I'd rather him join Rick and company somehow.
