Does anyone really think Daryl isn't coming back eventually? Feels like a bit of a sidequest for him to me. Either his brother will die and he'll come back or he and his brother will save the day during some battle with Woodbury.

No.

1.) Rick was the last to know that Lori died...well...Carol technically, but the last one in that episode to know.
2.) If she was alive, where did she get that dress from?

I think I remember a clip in the preview for the second half of them at the prison.

Could be wrong though.

Maybe Merle is, for lack of a better term, a wolf in sheep's clothing. His thought process is erratic to me but perhaps he figured that getting inside the prison and working as an inside man for the Governor and Woodbury was a possibility. His outburst when he called the group a bunch of ******* was perhaps just Merle acting as Merle but it also told me this character has no desire to reform.
No, imho Merle's a wolf in wolf's clothing. He just did what he's always done, survive how he could and to hell with anyone else (except his little bro). His character is what it's always been during the show: racist, psycho, redneck, biker tough guy. He could be kept in line by the Governor, who was bigger, crazier and meaner than he was, but he'd never take orders from or play nice with the Rick Squad, especially not after being left on the roof and forced to lop off his hand to escape zombies.

They'll have to come back to that. There's no way they can leave the Merle/Darryl side story hanging. They'll both be back at some point, probably when the Woodbury cultists come in force to the prison, and at least one episode cliffhanger will be Darryl wrestling over siding with the Rick Squad and Carol being all lovey-dovey or the Loony Crew with Merle all pleading and fraternal. Gotta be.

Have a feeling they are just going to milk this until the finale till another show down with the governor. I wish they would get past it sooner but we will be treated to challenges with the new group, Daryl and Merle hanging out in the woods and Rick going crazy.

and Lori is not alive. Everyone looked at the spot Rick was talking to and nothing was there. She was shot and became that Zombie's meal.

I'm really worried about the 2 white guys with Ty's group, I think they'll pull something stupid and try and overthrow everyone on their own, that or they ditch to Woodbury and help the Governor.

I can't believe some of you even consider that Lori is alive. WTF are you thinking? The first thing she did ("dead" or alive) was look for a white dress in a god damn prison?

I think it's pretty damn obvious that those 2 will not last very long

I'm not reading anything in this thread but I just wanted to say that I just watched Killer Within (S03E04) and... Wow. Lori's death has to be one of the saddest moments in TV history. I still have tears in my eyes... Ugh. And T-Dog too?! ****.

Hopefully I'll catch up by next Sunday and join the conversation with you guys.

Yeah, it was a pretty sad (and well shot) scene. Almost as sad as Charlie's death in Lost.

Wasn't a huge fan of this episode.

Kill Andrea already.
Really liked Carol as she was finally not acting like a battered wife
Like many have said, enough of the BS, we know Tyreese is joining up.

When Herschel is trying to convince Rick, why wouldn't he say "You owe me mother ****er, I let you guys stay on the farm, so let these guys stay"?

And hi, I'm Michonne. I'll just look mean and have a scowl and never say anything. Kill her too please.

Darryl will be back.

Don't think anything will ever top that for me. So sad... And

the Sun and Jin death was also unbelievably sad.

RIP Lost.

Think that's the most emotional a show has ever made me.

Miss LOST so much. Never thought I'd find a show to fill that void but TWD is doing a fine job.

The Lori thing creeped me out actually. I thought it was much better than when Rick broke down after she died.

Anyway, I still don't like Michonne. I think it's possible her character just doesn't translate well from the comic medium to television. But either way, she's silent to the point that she appears to be inept.

Andrea's decisions are still pretty baffling. I think this episode they tried to bring her back to her roots as a people-person, and I think the reason she's staying is because she believes that the people of Woodbury need her help (at least, I hope that's the reason - it should be obvious that the Governor is ****ed up).
