I like that we seem to be throwing pucks at the net against Dipietro. Saw Skinner try a couple from the goal line, normally I'm not a fan but against a rusty goalie who's never been great with rebound control anyway, I'll take it.

Did Tripp just say that RA Dickey played for the New York Knicks? Or did he say Mets and I misheard?

Not only does R.A. Dickey no longer play for the Mets, Tripp, but you called them the Knicks anyway.

R.A. Dickey plays for the Blue Jays who play in Toronto, whose Hockey team Carolina pwns. Nice call Trip

Wow, nice dive by Corvo to not let his crappy positioning bite us in the butt.

I don't follow the panthers closely enough to say, hockey and baseball are the only sports I pay anything more than casual or passing attention to.

Amazing what good coaching can do to mitigate a poor hockey IQ, isn't it?

It was a good play, and I've already had a bit to drink (can you blame me, I heard Corvo was in the lineup)

He prevented a goal. No need to confuse that with such details like being so completely out of position he needed to dive to cover himself. Thats just crazy talk!

I love when players refer to "good dumps."

I mean, what else is intermission for?

Yeah... he was canned about 5 years ago for calling out the organization for terrible moves. Namely, going on the cheap and letting Peppers go and the like.

Was quickly fired and replaced by Jim Szoke.

This. Both McBain and Corvo were positive factors in the first period, amazingly. I want to see them want to stay in the lineup.

I thought he got fired because he mentioned publicly how upset he was he didn't get a NFC Championship ring but was promised one.

At least that is what I heard and read. I do remember him openly criticising the team openly (especially during the 1-15 season) but nothing to the extent that they suck.

for 10m rather than 15m. You got 5,000,000 to spend on a new O-Line now

Or, spinning it positively, you've got the greatest running QB in the history of the NFL playing under a new coach who's famous for using running QBs.

I like it.
