Hell of a defensive play by McDonald. Guess he's good for something.

edit: Sweet AB by Tabata, fouling off a couple 2 strike pitches then taking him the other way. 2-0 Bucs.

Great effort by Inge to score on that play.

Locke is dialed in right now. Good thing the Pirates have more faith in him than some fans here

edit: Third solo home run of the game, this time for Jones. Replay doesn't screw us over for once.

That's kind of a weird structure out there. Why put that ad just 2 feet back if it's a home run?

To clarify that the ad is out of play, and thus in home run territory. That's not uncommon...the uncommon thing is not having a yellow/team-colored line on top of the fence to help indicate...if the top of that wall is yellow that's probably correctly called a home run on the field.

Oh yeah, I guess the absence of the yellow line is what made it look weird, good call. Very easy call though as it clearly hit the flowerbed.

We have a LOCKEDOWN.

7-0 now. Nice easy win with no Cutch, Walker, or Snider. I'll take it!

edit: Holy **** Russell Martin. 9-0!

Raise it!

15 wins in April. Last time Pirates did it in April was 1992. 1992 was last time Pirates had a winning season.

Pirates make it so hard to remain optimistic. But I will enjoy the ride while I can anyway. When they lost to the Red Birds Friday night, I was thinking, "Well, here goes our shot at making some noise in the division, they will own us like always."

So until further notice, go Bucs!

We can do no less than 5-5 on this 10 game road trip that leads into a stretch of 22 of 30 at home.

Hardest April schedule in baseball and we're 15-10...and that's with Jonathan Sanchez being a thing.

Ugh, forgot they were next.. If they leave there with 1 win, I'll be somewhat satisfied. That place has been a nightmare for the Bucs.

I'd really like to see us sweep the Brewers and send the rest of the division a message. That said, we'll probably lose 2 of 3 in 1 run games.
