Its a crappy quality stream but it works. Just follow their direction and give it a good while to buffer

It's because he is.

Jones should never play in the outfield.

Opening day: the time of the year when irrational optimism fades and cold-hard reality sets in.

0 runs and 1 hit in 6 innings? Not too surprising.

Until the fans make a stand and refuse to support the cheapskate that is Nutting... get used to this. Since the fans will continue to go to the games under any circumstances, he has a financial incentive to field a team that is not competitive.

People say that all the time, but it is MLB that is the chief support for the Nuttings, not the fans. It isn't like our attendance is stellar.

We could have zero attendance and the Nuttings will be just fine.

MLB is setup for the big markets, and they have no problem financing schedule fodder. Just the way it is.

"The level of expectation has been and needs to be that we're going to win a championship," he said. "We're going to be playing exciting games throughout the summer as we did last year. We're going to play meaningful games in September. We're going to compete for a championship and put ourselves in position for a sixth World Series in Pittsburgh."

Bob 'either I am on crack or the fans are' Nutting.

I think you're undervaluing the impact of ticket and merchandise sales around the Pittsburgh region.

I've never seen so many people that are proud to support a team that (1) has a proven track record of being a loser and *will* continue to lose in the future (2) is run by a greedy owner who puts profits over winning.

To me, Pirates baseball is all about roping fans in with giveaways and lame concerts. It's all one big diversion to distract the fans away from just how piss-poor the product is each and every year.

It kinda makes my head hurt just thinking about it.. then I realize that not everyone is intelligent/logical. At the end of the day, it would be nice if the fans wisened up and stopped supporting Nutting's printing press of money.

Follow the money guys.. and you'll find out that Nutting is coin-operated. It's not about fielding a competitive team. All he cares about is making a profit and he's done a damn good job at doing that so far.

Opening day payroll for the pirates is 67mil. That is around what many were hoping they'd be and is on par with the market size. There really werent free agents worth trying to woo this offseason anyways, I don't know what else you expect them to do unless you're just venting about the last couple of decades.

That's alright. We acquired him for his dynamite bat, anyway. Did you know his career wRC+ is 58?

Great ****ing cut, Garrett. You facing a guy who you know can't hit a barn wall from the inside, and you're leading off the ninth down three.

Solution: Golf at one in the dirt and strike out.

Yeah, Cutch was safe stealing second there, but Hurdle is 100 percent senile for calling for a steal there.

Hurdle must actively want to piss off fans.
