Detective Bobrovsky

SOLI'S SHORTSIDE
- 100% true facts.

- Regulation Win. Much needed.

- Lineup is subject to shuffling in game (I liked that Krueger sent the old lines out for the 1st shifts then went with the new ones. Tricksy). Nail and Teemu will see some time with the RNH - Eberle duo. They get their "dynamic" moniker back when they score a goal. Smid and Petry broken up to share the wealth.

- VandeVelde down. Belanger back but hobbled. Fistric back in. Whitney out.

- Gagner had his season-long point streak snapped yesterday afternoon. He still leads the team with 11 points in 11 games.

- I've noticed while doing these GDT that I'm pretty good at guessing the first names of opposing players. But if I get stuck, I default to Mark. Apologies in advance Letestu and Calvert. As for Boll... isn't coming to me.

- James Wisniewski returns to the BJs lineup after being injured by... something.

- I would love to get Brandon Dubinksy from the BJs. Love that dude.

I don't like that Smid and Petry were broken up.

I hope they settle their differences soon and kiss and makeup.

I actually kinda like the new lineup. RNH with 2 snipers to pass to could be devastating. MPS-Belanger-Harti, while contributing no offense so far, have gotten a number of chances and at some points in previous games, looked like our best line. Petry gets the training wheels off for a while, and Smid can cover for the 185964215947932 defensive mishaps Potter makes.

Like the combo's.

So, I'm normally a pretty half-glass-full kind of guy, but I have this bad feeling that our goalie (Dubnyk in this case today) is due for a real stinker after playing so well lately. We'll play better as a team, score some goals, but bad goaltending will cause the loss.

I really hope I'm wrong and my spidey senses are just out of whack...

The difference of having Yakupov on that line..... He actually shoots the ****ing puck, unlike Hall.

I think they were worried about Halls shoulders carrying those 2.....lets see if Yak can do the same.

Are you serious? Hall has double the shots Yako has and leads the team in that category.

Maybe I missed the

Through saying that, I think Hall could easily have an additional dozen or so more shots. If he traded all his failed toe-drags with shots.. he'd be more complete. He's still by far the best performing forward on this team this year all-round..

I am excited to see these lines in action (if they play them as listed here). I only wish Gagner was somebody else.

Sweet! Just noticed Fister is in the 2nd defensive pairing!

Something to cheer about. He at least gets me off my seat once in a while with all this boring as hell Oiler hockey!

I don't think the Oilers have been "boring" this year.

"Frustrating" might be a better word for it.

I hope you are wrong too. That would be telling about Dubnyk's mental toughness if he gave up a stinker against a terrible team after a game off. A game in which his aging backup proved in his first game in almost a year that he can still play in the league.

If Dubnyk can't rise to the occasion, how's he going to do it in the playoffs?

Boring for me. hardly any shots on net. Playing a stagnant game is very boring for me to watch. Perhaps not to you, but yes, very boring hockey for me. Frustrating for me is if the Oilers were competing a heck of a lot more and losing.

Should be interesting. I don't want the MacBlender out there for lines, but I think for our top 6 going forward we need to find the best combos.

I'd rather have VV be the 4th line center than Smyth though.

Can see us losing this game. Columbus doesnt have a lot of high end skill but that team is full of guys who work there ***** off and I could see our guys underestimating them.
