This team is completely clueless in all areas of the ice just now. Their inability to read what is painfully obvious is astounding; falling back far too early, attempting line changes at just bizarre times... everything.
Hitchcock can go on about learning over the past X years, but it is quite clear that he isn't being tough enough. This team has played undisciplined hockey in almost every game this season and there are no signs of improvement in any area. I don't care if he kills this team from exhaustion by running training every offday, but something has to change to drill the basics into these idiots.
The last 5 games have been very depressing. Was last season a mirage? Adding Tarasenko and Schwartz, and just losing Arnott (and now a too-old Langenbrunner) should make that same team better-not 10 times worse. What is wrong?
I really hope we either completely figure it out, or miss the playoffs badly. I don't want any Calgary Flames situations. Having a bad team and then getting an average player in the draft is just dreadful.
