Once the Isles are eliminated (sorry, IF IF IF they are), I expect Nelson, Nino will get a look from Bridgeport. I wouldn't be surprised to see Persson and Sundstrom get a game or two as well.

And Strome, I'd give him a couple of games as well, once the OHL playoffs are done.

If the Isles are close, then I'd say only Nelson gets a look because as CREW99AW said - the most well-rounded.

I wouldn't be upset if Strome gets a shot, but I'd rather him just finish in Bridgeport if anything. Nino and Nelson should both get a long look this year though. Even if we are in contention... which I doubt we will be.

Whatever happened to that Japanese guy that came to camp the year before? He was just an inv right? We don't retain his rights or anything?

I'll have this stuff up tomorrow, along with any highlights tonight. I'm on the Road in Albany. Going to the Sound Tigers game.

I don't know how you do this.

from the game story, looks like Strome was instrumental in another come-back victory.

Cheers,

From what I've seen on Strome he seems like a high character guy - class clown type. A little personality in the Isles locker room wouldn't be such a bad thing. Pair that with Reinhart's calmness and we may finally see the end of the 3rd period meltdowns.

I'm really excited about Strome. My hope is that the Isles call up Nelson at some point this year and start grooming him for that 2C, while Strome spends the entire offseason training with Tavares and Moulson, on and off the ice. A full offseason of playing RW with those two and gaining chemistry could help limit his growing pains.

I listened to the game, Strome assisted on Brett Ritchie's goal with just under 10 minutes remaing in the third and scored the tying goal 5 minutes later.

In the shootout Strome was stopped, Graham scored.

Reinharts assist was not much of an offensive play, it was all Mitch Moroz. Posting it because Moroz made the move on Ryan Pulock (a top Draft candidate this year, whom I actually like). Pulock got burned pretty bad on this one though. (He made up for it minutes later by setting up the game tying goal Late.

Andrei Pedan 2 assists:

Kichton was credited for 2 assists but the second was on an empty netter and it didnt look to me that he should have gotten credit for any assist on it anyway, So I'm only posting his first (only?) assist.

Yeah really. If they had poster of the month for this stuff I'd give ITM my vote.

As much of I can't wait to see Brock Nelson (and Anders Lee), in an Islanders uniform, I can't wait to see Pedan playing for Bridgeport.

Brenden Kichton passed Pat Falloon last night for 2nd all-time in Spokane Chiefs History in Assists.

Also, Kichton currently has 80 points with 4 games left to play. His 80 Points are third most ever by a Spokane defenceman. Brenden Kichton had 81 two years ago, and Bryan McCabe had 84 in 1994. Kichton has a good chance of passing both of those totals at some point this week in his last four regular season games.

Kichton was recently on The Pipeline Show. The only reference to the Islanders was he was very
disappointed he was not playing in Bridgeport this season.

If we let this kid go to another team, I will be very upset. His upside offensively is unreal.

agree

Potential and CHL stats alone should earn him an ELC

It may not be up to the Islanders. Islanders fans better be collectively praying to whatever God they may believe in for the Chiefs to get knocked out early. Because if the Islanders can't offer the incentive of burning up a year of his ELC he can just wait it out, go to FA, and go to the highest bidder. If I was his agent, that's what I would advice him to do myself.

Brock Nelson

I watched him once in the beginning of the season. I liked the way he was playing. I see that recently his play has picked up (40 points in 47 games). Anyone watching him recently have an update on him?

I honestly don't see a single weakness in his game. Maybe he can be more physical? He's the Islanders best prospect currently IMHO.

Consistency and strength would be my only criticism. I've seen him even recently get rubbed out and taken out of plays by midgets like Steve Legein. He's never going to be a power forward, just not his game and I don't care that he doesn't really hit, he doesn't need to. I just want him to be stronger on his skates and more of an asset in puck battles.

He's a big kid, but he still needs to put on more mass. I think we also forget that this year is his first in professional hockey. I think he's a gem of a prospect, watch out when he puts on another 10-15 pounds.
