And have kessel kill Kadri's production? Kadri is in the PERFECT spot to succeed right now.
At some point teams are going to start matching up against kadri line instead of the kessel line and then the kessel line will get hot.

Refer to my previous posts.

I quote so many people with regards to giving up Kadri and throwing him into bonehead deals. About time hes getting his shot.

Kadri doesn't need those guys to make him better.

Kari has as many goals in the last 4 periods as Kessel does on the season.

Kads ain't broken, so I see no need to fix him or change his situation. IMO

burke had him going to vancouver
kadri is kadri he has always been good, in all divisions hes played in.
burke leaving, gave him a chance and confidance to play

burke said it himself, nonis worked out all the trades, just like when they were in van, burke always had final say and they disagreed a lot, if nonis had had final say a couple years earlier i doubt we'd still be trying to end a playoff drought

but burke looked cool walking in parades in his cargo shorts

really going to miss that

We should thank Burke for having common sense?
That's how low leaf nations standards have become in regards to our GM's.
We are now thanking our GM's for not making the massive mistakes we are accustomed to them making.
WOW!

I'm about as big of a critic of that idiot as anybody... but even I never got involved with the Kadri bashing. Never wanted him traded, and I was fine with him developing in the ahl.
What Burke did was simply common sense.

These threads are insufferable. He was fired. For a reason. Many reasons actually. He did a few things right and a lot of things wrong during his time here. We really don't need to rehash this every single time a player he acquired does something good do we?

Nobody even knows why he was fired - its all speculation. what if it comes to light that Burke wanted to Trade Kadri/Bozak/1sts for Luongo - and once the BOG found out about his intentions they immediately decided to remove him. (Hence the odd timing)

Funny how the Luongo talk died the day after Burke's was replaced as GM

Yes, but Burke put his faith in the colossal screw-up Wilson.

Wilson radiated loathing towards Kadri.

Kadri sucked it up, put his head down and knew that the the freak's time was almost up in Toronto.

It was rumored to be a done deal - just required the new CBA to be signed.

Burke is fired 4 days before the new CBA is signed ...

No it didn't. It persisted after Burke was gone... "Nonis traded for him once..." blah blah blah.

The Luongo talk died when Reimer/Scrivens did well.

2 Burke quotes:

"Nazem Kadri is going to be a good player in this league"
"We believe in James Reimer"

James Reimer and Nazem Kadri have been our 2 best players this season

Sincerely hope Randy Carlyle isn't that dumb.

Kadri thrives in open ice. Kessel needs a guy who's willing and able to play the puck in the corners.

I'm sure if you know this yet but typically there are three guys on a line.

Like, they can have a third guy who hits and digs and creates room for the other two. Seems that thought hasn't crossed your mind...

Burke had his faults but he did do a very good job here, no question.
