He obviously doesn't fall into the regular ER queue.

Well this make sense. It doesn't fall under regular health care then. Sorry Zeke I doubted you lol. But this being the case we should know as soon as tomorrow about Riemers status.

Time on those machines is precious and they are expensive. I have seen Raptor draft prospects with appointments in the morning and early afternoons at Sunnybrook. Seems unfair, but sports teams pay big bucks to have that access and helps pay for the facilities so we can have them for free.

What I was getting at was that people DO have their MRIs in the late night/early morning. I wasn't complaining- agreeing to have an MRI at 3 am was what got me my scan a month early!

Watched the replay and noticed Reims got speared in the balls(groin) by Simmonds well after the puck left the crease. Cheap shot by Philly if you ask me to go after a hot goalie when your team is losing

Doesn't surprise me. Simmonds is a turd on skates. He should've gotten an unsportsmanlike penalty for slapping the puck off the boards after Phaneuf's goal.

If it's his knee I find it hard to believe it is minor. I was at the game and he left in quite a lot of discomfort and was unable to put any weight on the leg.

I was hoping for a groin issue or something. Even a MCL tear he would be out 4-6.

Rynnas can back up Scrivens for a while but it is so damn sad since Reimer was in really good shape. I hope he gets back for the playoffs.

I have a feeling Reims will be alright, maybe a week or two but fine. I think he just put some weight on his knee the wrong way while trying to push across. If its the kind of injury im thinking about he'll be fine, but it is pretty painful at the time. I get it once in a while and am usually back to normal after a week.

Nice job kicking Philly's butt last night (and Habs before that).

I hope Reimer is ok.

There is a bit of misconception about MRI wait times (lesser extent CT scans) If there is an emergency and the hospital has a MRI the scan will be done ASAP.

I reside in a town east of Toronto that has a hospital with a MRI. Few weeks ago a teen was brought in after getting hit from behind in a game with no feeling in his legs.
Within an hour he was getting a MRI scan.
Of course those waiting for elective scans had their appointment time pushed back but that's the way it's done.
Depends on the ER physician, the consulting specialist and preliminary diagnosis.

It looked like Reimer pulled his groin to me.

I hope none of this results in the Leafs acquiring an aging goalie with a horrible contract.

It won't.

No GM would go out there and acquire a 10 year contract simply because a player gets hurt for a few weeks.

What is up with all the guess work? Carlyle wouldn't have come out and said "we do not believe he will be out for any extended period of time" if he didn't have a good idea that was right. He will probably be out for a week or two at maximum. He will probably miss up to 3 or 4 games at max IMO. Sucks, but could have been a lot worse.

Besides, with the system Randy implements, this loss will be a little more easy to deal with, as opposed to if this had happened with that dumb Hanta Yo idiot.

So we need to keep putting out those positive vibes that it's only "a player gets hurt for a few weeks"

This season pretty much hinges on the severity of this injury. thats how good Reimer has been for us. I said it before the season started, this is a playoff team with Reimer playing average (which didnt happen last season). Well looks like hes playing well above average. Guy is like a vaccuum. Its night and day when comparing him to Scrivens. His vision and ability to absorb the shot is stellar. Great draft pick!! Morisson has made some fantastic selections, cant wait to see if any of our past 3/4 drafts end up paying off.
