That can be a very serious injury for anyone never mind a goaltender. Too often they can become chronic.

Agreed, people are stupid, especially reporters who are clearly trying to boost their ratings. However, Leafs' fans do appear to be worried there might be a repeat of last year's collapse. Let's hope the ship doesn't take a bad turn; it takes time to get back on course.

I agree. Maybe he's just there doing tests? Checking mobility and stuff like that. Getting a second opinion from a doctor. Seems more likely unless we want Reimer to have radiation problems

It sounds funny but to be honest, I believe zeke and not Dregger.

I would figure Reimer got his MRI last night, and perhaps awaits the results today... and is going back for some further testing, discussion, etc.

I'm no doctor but that would seem like a typical procedure for an athlete.

Joe Bowen and the reporter with the shaky hands (name?) are pretty much the only thing I like about Sportsnet.

Why would the Leafs trade for a 10 year contract because their goalie looks like he's hurt for a couple weeks?

ESPECIALLY, now that we've seen Reimer perform well!?!? If he shat the bed, then sure, I could totally see expediating some trade for a goalie. But in the (albeit small sample) he was great, no need to worry about the goaltending at this point.

Not going out there and trading for a long-term contract. What happens in 2-3 weeks when Reimers back? lol

People are so stupid it scares me for the future of humanity.

Let's clarify the comments.

Host asked if Reimer could be considered or is approaching the brittle tag.

Kypper said based on the number of games he's played and the number of injuries he has suffered he might be considered brittle. Later he said he was answering the question about whether he could be considered brittle.

Yes, the question could be answered he is starting to look that way. How can anyone claim otherwise?

You are correct. All I heard was "brittle".I pretty much tune-out when i see those 3 'analysts' on the panel.

No radiation during an MRI. Done with magnets.

Joe Bowen and the presentation are great IMO on SNET.

Can't stand the intermission analysis with Maclean, Kyper and Millard. They're blockheads. TSN outclasses them in every facet in that sense.

IMO: TSN, SNET, CBC, LTV (in order)

As for Reimer, I'm not too worried about the injury itself. I think he'll be back before the end of the week. My concern is more with the nagging injury... we saw Halak ready to make a start last night for STL and pulled himself out after warmup. Hopefully its very minor, and just needs some rest.

Despite disliking the CBC crew, I LOVE HNIC. Still my favouirte. The pregame teaser vids, Don Cherry, and sometimes the hot stove isn't too bad. Just change the commentating, and it's by far the best.

For me, its HNIC>TSN>SNET>LeafsTV

Kypreos said it looks like a "day to day" thing, but that was just idle chatter.

I agree with the people that said it looked like a groin pull. That was exactly what I was seeing. When the announcers were talking about a Knee tweak....I just didn't see it. It looked like a pulled/strained groin or hamstring.

Not saying it's not a serious injury, but I'd rather see a groin pull than a knee injury.

To me it looked like an Iliopsoas injury.

Groins can be chronic, knees are reasonably expected to be repaired and rehabbed.
