I do not understand how people can defend Staubitz and reference the toughness of the 07 team.

1. The 07 team could kill a penalty.
2. The 07 team could afford to lose a game in an 82 game season.
3. See number 1.

Quote:
78.4 Scoring a Goal - A goal shall be scored when the puck shall have been put between the goal posts by the stick of a player of the attacking side, from in front and below the crossbar, and entirely across a red line the width of the diameter of the goal posts drawn on the ice from one goal post to the other with the goal frame in its proper position. The goal frame shall be considered in its proper position when at least a portion of the flexible peg(s) are still inside both the goal post and the hole in the ice. The flexible pegs could be bent, but as long at least a portion of the flexib;e peg(s) are still in the hole in the ice and the goal post, the goal frame shall be deemed to be in its proper position. The goal frame could be raised somewhat on one post (or both), but as long as the flexible pegs are still in contact with the holes in the ice and the goal posts, the goal frame shall not be deemed to be displaced.
A goal shall be scored if the puck is put into the goal in any way by a player of the defending side. The player of the attacking side who last touched the puck shall be credited with the goal but no assist shall be awarded.
If an attacking player has the puck deflect into the net, off his skate or body, in any manner, the goal shall be allowed. The player who deflected the puck shall be credited with the goal.
Should a player legally propel a puck into the goal crease of the opponent Club and the puck should become loose and available to another player of the attacking side, a goal scored on the play shall be legal.
Idiotic rule.

PL3 should've been up and dressed.
TWICE...so far, hawks have run Fasth. A couple more times, and he can sit in the "dark room" with Fowler.
Not responding to runs on your goalie...because we'll get a powerplay means exactly jack ****. Score a goal, and lose the next 3-4 because we don't have another NHL level net minder.

Staubitz is useless. With our PK sucking like this cannot be taking penalties like this. He is losing us games.

Forget the goal pegs. Did the puck even cross the line?

Yeah, that rule is pretty stupid. Hossa, pushing the net off, is basically why the puck crossed the line. Otherwise, Sbisa is able to hold the line.

Yeah, I defended Staubitz for going after the guy who ran Getzlaf, but plain and simple, he is a dreadful hockey player. He is useless. Want him off this ****ing team. Play Rakell or Wagner

The guy who ran Fasth isn't going to fight PL3. He won't even be on the ice at the same time. Even IF PL3 started something, it'd be a turtle, followed by a 7 minute PK with 5 of it being a major. Guaranteed loss.

Yeah, but we wouldn't have a tough team if they can't take a clean hit, dust themselves off, and get back to playing. I'm sure that Chicago will no longer hit any of our players that leave themselves open like that. You're too soft, Gliff.

He's not been a liability in the defensive zone and he's effectively cycled in the offensive zone on multiple occasions. He has a credited shot nd has been actually laying the body on people. He's had a more effective game than Etem has.

I've been pleased with Fasth's game tonight. Even after getting rocked.
