Only if he's under six feet tall.

For you OHL watchers - what's the scoop with Horvat?

I think you meant a defenseman who plays for London or Portland.

Ironically, that could be a good thing depending on where we pick with Zadarov and Jones eligible for the draft and playing for those clubs.

I could give 2 ***** less who we draft. People here won't like it regardless. I cannot remember the last 1st round pick here that this fan base actually liked.

Those two weren't picks. They were no brainers. Since Sid and Geno were drafted, a lot of people didn't like the Staal pick and wanted Toews or Kessel. People didn't like the Despres pick and wanted Ferraro or another winger. People didn't like the Bennett pick, and certainly didn't like the Pouliot pick. Most liked the Maatta pick because Bob McKenzie said so.

People get so jacked up about prospects here. I can honestly say, if the board consensus picked here over the last 3-4 years, we'd be sooo much worse than we are right now prospect wise.

This board blew up when we drafted Harrington. People were disgusted with the pick.

i hope they draft these guys and in a few years trot out this line-up:

Beau Bennett-Sidney Crosby-François-René Duchâble
Vladimir Sofronitsky-Evgeni Malkin-James Neal

those are Chopin pianists, but if i didn't know that i'd be enthralled by those names.

Horvat is a two-way stud, solid leader, and is doing a lot more offensively this season. He was counted on for his defense last season (playing against the opponents top players as a 16 year old) so the numbers weren't there. He can play wing.

Someone mentioned earlier about Ray taking Domi over Horvat because Domi is canadian - both are from Canada.
