I already said it was bad luck. The whole play was. I just don't get why Clem was that far out of the net or why he committed that much to the glove side. It was bad positioning on an unlucky play.

Perhaps he was out of position because the play was unlucky?
When the puck keeps bouncing and then lands on the stick of a wide open player, a goalie can easily look out of position.

He was trying to cut down the angle, unfortunately all the Panthers were that way, too.
