Pretty sure that by the time they come back from this 9 in 11 on the road (or whatever it is) they'll be pretty far back from the playoff teams.

Other than that, it wasn't a terrible effort, but the Flyers were primed for a loss tonight. I have a feeling that by the weekend we will see a Jet team that is 2 for 9.
I don't think Montoya could be blamed for either of those two goals.

OK, let's all show how much hockey wisdom we have by pointing out how the substitution of 4th liner Peluso for 4th liner Thorburn was the reason for our downfall today, shall we?

Welcome to the big show Peluso...had to take that bait eh?
I was hoping they would have had him on a no fight policy.
Kid is pumped with adreneline and it got the best of him.
Well that might be his one shot. He might be in the 5% of players that their first game is their last.

Wish we could get a solid 60 out of all the players.

That is because that is exactly what it is. Nothing more, nothing less. We aren't going to make the playoffs this year and liklely next with the management/coaching we have now. Sad but more than likely true. However, I had a gut instinct this would happen stemming back to last year. And I'm even going to call it as what will happen for next year as well. I really truly feel that there needs to be some internal shifting and motivation to make this team a true contender. We aren't going to be a contenter with the management/coaching we have now, unless they change their mindset somehow. I get TN is all about "loyalty", but I'm hoping they will also find a way to integrate "winning" into their mindset and give the fans something to cheer about. I really don't want to be another Atlanta or Edmonton, thanks.

The Winnipeg Jets are kind of like KoKo B. Ware.

Special teams and the inability to capitalize on our scoring chances cost us the game.

The Jets need to start playing more like a team. We have no line chemistry outside of LLW and Olli is just not getting it done. Glad to see him on the 3rd line towards the end of the game.

1st penalty he took was retarded. 2nd penalty was brutally weak but that's what the league is calling this year. No one's saying it was 100% his fault, but he sure the **** didn't help by barely playing 2 & 1/2 minutes and taking 4 mins in penalties.

TBH... if Bryz was a lil' more of the Bryz we've seen lately, there'd be less moaning around here.

Reporter: Did Blake Wheeler get a game misconduct at the end of the game? It says so on the game sheet.

Noel: Don't know. Must've been if it says so in the game sheet

Just came back from the game. Sucks that Peluso took penalties but he was standing up for his teammates against that little **** Rinaldo. The refs were terrible in this game. I thought the Jets played decently tonight, but should have been better for longer periods considering they were the rested team.

Bryzgalov was great. The game was pretty physical. Man you forget how big these guys are until you get up close to them.

Switch around the goaltending efforts and Jets win this one. We should have sensed blood early though, as Bryz looked shaky early but settled in.

Sigh. So we should lose to the Pens on Friday... sooooo... win?

Heard about the game misconduct as I was leaving the arena. No idea what it was for.

OK since we're doing this: first of all, he took 6 shifts, and second of all, what penalty did the Flyers capitalize on?

Zach Redmond: 2 minutes, cross checking

Yeah, he baited him, and what kind of jackass talks the talk then does not drop em?
Peluso is @ 100% fault for taking that bait too. What did he think, they were going to fight in the first few minutes? Have to generate some **** talk first, let it build up a little...or at least let the other guy throw down first.

I agree the 2nd call was craptastic.

Not the point. That's not something you want in the line up. Bissionnette plays about that much and doesn't do bone head things like that. I wasn't impressed with this guy. Redmond was actually trying to protect his net like a dman is supposed to and got carried away.

And to the people saying Bryz was amazing. Jets aren't going to score if they keep shooting it into Bryz's logo on his jersey.

I don't really have issues with Peluso tonight per se, but more because of how Noel basically shuffled 3 lines all night after that.

Rinaldo is a little craphead. Can't stand him. Didn't hate the Flyers for a couple of seasons, but now I do again. Flyers are getting dirty and annoying again.

Exactly. Why bench him on a terrible penalty call and miss the opportunity of getting a good look at him while you can (Thorburn had to sit in his place afterall). Would have been nice if Noel supported him for protecting our players instead of benching him. Didn't even see Noel talking to the ref after that bad call...

His lines are starting to annoy me and his coaching decisions as well. I said it when he was hired and I'll say it again. I don't think he's a coach that can get this team to the playoffs. I'm tired of the loyalty already.

Agree. Don't like that either. I think Peluso can play, but after sitting so long he looked like he was trying to do too much out there. All in all, if Noel can't trust to play him, therefore resulting in the 4th line (Slater, Wright) spending the whole game on the bench and rolling 3 lines, i'm not a fan of that.

I am pretty worried about the 9 of 11 on the road coming up. That could sink us quick.
