Tim Murray Getting Consideration For Blue Jackets General Manager Position

Bruce Garrioch ‏@SunGarrioch
Senators assistant GM Tim Murray will get consideration in Cbus two league execs telll me. #Sens

Would be shocked if he didn't get a release to go to Columbus. He or Dorion seem to be the next GM for the Senators so it would hurt us on the managerial side of hockey operations.

Not sure how I feel about this

Why would he leave a budding franchise in which he would gain more prestige for a mediocre hockey club.

To demonstrate that he's a good GM by actually being the GM?

Yep. 100% agree. Do not want another Peter Chiarelli ordeal. Hopefully Jarmo will get the job anyways.

Guaranteed control of a franchise, increased salary, and to stroke Foligno's hair and tell him everything is going to be alright.

Major Conservative as well, Ohio's a swing state in 2016.

Because he wants to set out and accomplish.

seriously, after losing jarmo and chiarelli, this would hurt. Why does this always happen to us?

No way. He is our next gm. Dorion cannot do it. Tim is already running this thing. If he leaves, he takes my heart with him.
He wouldn't go though, so not that worried.

I may be the minority but I would prefer Dorion

Brassard/Erixon to Ottawa within a week of it happening.

In all seriousness, probably not good news here.

Have it on good intel that Jarmo Kekalainen will be named GM of the Columbus Blue Jackets Wednesday morning. Dave Taylor definitely out.

YESSS!

If true, great news for Jarmo and great news for us.

Trust me, tim murray has WAY more to do with the success of this organization than dorion.

The only reason I think Tim would have a hard time being a full-time GM is contract negotiations: the guy is such a sourpuss that he might turn everyone off, haha. He'd need to hire an assistant whose best skill is in dealing with people/ player egos, and just let them do all the negotiations.

Otherwise, agree.

"@jhiitela: Jokerit will hold a press conference today. 9.30am ET. #cbj"/ Well, now, comes as no surprise. Jarmo Kekalainen's FIN team.

The scare is over.
