I'm almost embarrassed for bryz for that goal. Yikes.

Edit:
On the total opposite end of the spectrum - somebody give Rinne the damn Hart already.

Haha looks like Montreal can't get one past Ben beauty rest either.

And what happened to Price? Why is Peter ****in Budaj in? He comes in, and Ottawa scores.

I'm a believer that goalies should not be elgible for the Hart, and in baseball, pitchers shouldn't be elgible for the MVP since goalies and pitchers each have their own award to begin with.

That being said, with Tampa being a top 8 team right now, Stamkos gets the Hart right now. Ultimately I think Crosby wins the award. Anderson is the Vezina winner thus far, IMO.

Forwards and defensemen have their own awards too, though.
Normally, I'm on board with your line of thinking - but Nashville is dead last, by a wide margin from the rest of the league, in goals for.

Yet somehow they're seeded 6th.
Logically, this doesn't seem sustainable over the remaining 2/3 of the season... but if the Preds make the playoffs and they're still scoring at an unnerving pace, I can't think of anyone else who would deserve it more.

As I'm typing all of this, though, 3 goals have been scored in this damn game. Go figure.

Plus goalies do play almost as many games as skaters and are on the ice every minute, unlike skaters. With pitchers it's different cause they'll never be out there as much as hitters are considering their time in the field and at-bats.

Eh, the Art Ross and Rocket Richard don't really count.

IMO, there are a trio of awards: Hart, Norris, and Vezina. Personally I think only forwards should be elgible for the Hart. The Lindsay one should go to whoever.

Just my view.

You forgot the Selke. So that's 3 awards for forwards.

99% of the time, the Hart is going to go to a forward - but I think there'll be exceptions where a defensemen or goalie can standout from the rest of the pack.

Rinne definitely stands out to me this season - should Nashville's season continue the way it does.

Marty should have gotten the Hart in either 06/07 or 07/08. I would have been okay with giving Nabokov or someone else the Vezina if Marty got the Hart in 07/08. Then the next season he gets injured, and the team scores 40 more goals than they did the last two seasons.

Good. And why did NHL.com tell me Price was out of the game, and Budaj was in? Now it's showing Price is still in there? I don't feel like turning it on, but it looks like Montreal is making blimpie look better than we did.

1 goal on 39 shots!

Montreal on the PP. They have to win this now. They can't get anything past the goodyear blimp either.

Refs with a weak call on Subban to wash their PP. Yay 3 point game!

It sucks how we lose 2 games, and go from 2nd to 7th in no time.

And now a shootout. I bet the Habs don't score a ****** goal against the goodyear blimp.

Taken 43 shots in game tonight, and are making him look like Pekka Rinne. The guy just stands there, and the puck hits him.

Price gets beat by Silfverberg. Price isn't that good in shootouts.

Galchenyuk is stopped by Bishop. Easy save for him.

Desharnais scores.

The whole East is a bubble right now. It's a 7 point swing from 1st to 9th right now.
With seeds 1 - 7 being separated by 2 points. (Exception. 3rd seeded Carolina @ 19 pts)

...make it 3 points between 1st & 7th, since the Habs got a point.

Sens win. Thanks Habs, I hope you POS's go on a major losing streak! The fact I even had to root for this pathetic team irks me.

Agreed. I don't even dislike Lundqvist other than the fact he's a Ranger. I've always said he was a great goalie despite the huge equipment he wears which is pretty standard among all the goalies in the league.

Then you have these big oafs. The dude didn't make a single challenging save in the shootout. Made a pretty good glove save either late in the 3rd or in OT, I forget. Guys shoot at him, and it hits somewhere in his mid section. It's hard to beat these goalies in a shootout. It's hard to beat them period. You need screens, deflections, and rebounds to beat them. Or hope they give up something weak between the pads.

Total cluster**** on the game tying goal for Chicago. Should count, though.

Fun game to watch so far.

I'm gonna laugh if Chicago's point streak is snapped by Edmonton with the crumbling bulin wall in net.
