Just saying... Jordie Benn would be a better option as a regular than Goligoski. If he's going to keep playing like this.

By far our worst defensemen this game are Rome and Goligoski. Both have cost us goals.

Next period, some basic things they need to do are put Lehtonen in, and bench Goligoski and Rome. I'd rather have Robidas double shifted or one of our decent defensive forwards playing back there instead of those clowns.

Giving up on this game could have horrible ramifications. It never goes over well. And I'm feeling confidfent to say if Bachman stays in this lead is getting significantly worse. He's not the problem but he's not helping either. We've had periods like this before where Kari has stoped the door every time.

Or if you really don't want to overplay Kari, send Bachman down and throw Campbell the start in Vancouver for ***** and giggles.

Bachman hasn't been terrible, but he's been very scrambly (though I don't blame him with the defense in front of him). The only goal that he should've realistically had was Cammalleri since he delayed before he shot and Bachs had slid too far over to stop it.

Please Gully let Kari rest! Glad to see that Daley and the Fiddler line showed up even if nobody else has.

With all the negative comments about Goligoski's play, how are you guys feeling about the Neal/Niskanen trade?

Or rather, why did the Stars do that trade?

And before anyone says something, yes I'm a Flames fan but I'm actually wondering. I mean, hindsight is 20/20 but was there a reason why so much was given up for a player you're now bemoaning?

I've always actually been a huge fan of Dallas players, especially for my fantasy leagues. A couple seasons ago I actually had Neal, Eriksson AND Benn all on my team :] It's true that your stars don't get the attention they deserve (hence your awesome team forum avatars) but I'm glad I can always pick up a real steal in Eriksson.

Neal wasn't performing well and Niskanen sucked after Zubov left. Not much was given up at the time. Everyone I knew who was a Stars fan was happy to have Niskanen gone. Hindsight doesn't do much good in the sports world, trades are always risks.

GMJN did that trade because Neal was massively slumping after his suspsension and (allegedly) becoming an actual Mini-Mo. Niskanen's confidence was shot and he wasn't clicking after Zubov left, probably due to the locker room at the time.

Because Nieuwendyk pulled the trigger way too soon. All reports suggest that he didn't shop him around. If he waited I'm sure we could have got a better player.

Also, Goligoski was awesome when he was first traded here. Solid defensively, great offensively. It's all gone now.

The first goal against was weak. Bachman went down, had no idea where the puck was, and just sat there hoping a shot would hit him.

I feel like we should create an explanation thread for that trade and sticky it in our forum.

The question is, should I continue to watch this or should I play World of Tanks?

Over the last four plus games has Morrow made one accurate pass? I can't think of a single instance, everything is wildly flung around the ice and usually 5-10 ft. off.

Think that's what angers me the most. To have GMs come out after the fact and say they didn't even know he was available is unreal to me.

Did you all think that?
I've always felt Neal was going to be a good young scorer and I don't follow the Stars too often outside of the days of Turco.

Sorry, I'm not trying to rub salt in the wounds. Calgary, after all, has the most stellar trading record as of late. So many wins.
