The guy is a beauty. He does his job absolutely perfect.

I would take him on the Nucks any day of the week. Send him over! But then again, I would take back Torres, Bertuzzi, and hell, even throw Cooke back our way!

If Rinaldo fought Kovy everyone would be talking about how classless Rinaldo is for fighting a star.

I'm sure Rinaldo would have no problem going with Kovalchuk, Schenn just stepped in as a teammate sticking up for his guy. Yes, he got rocked. You Devils fans won't stop reminding us every two seconds. Rinaldo can never win with some people. Had he fought Kovy that night, there would have immediately been a thread denouncing Rinaldo as a goon going after a star player. The guy is an agitator who does his job well. There's not a single Flyers fan that thinks he something more than that.

No, they'd be mocking him for getting his ass beat.

Guy's a straight up cheapshot artist and an embarrassment.

Is the baby in your avatar supposed to be ironic, or a genuine representation. I can't tell?

Kovy's the one who wanted to go with Rinaldo, if you remember correctly, because Rinaldo pretty blatantly intentionally slewfooted Parise after the play. Then Rinaldo high-tailed it out of there and let a player with both skill and actual potential get his clocked cleaned. It's hard to unfairly call out a guy for "going after a star player" when you blatantly slewfoot one not 30 seconds earlier.

There's agitation, which is an important part of the game (Love Clarkson et al), and then there's Rinaldo.

i'd say carcillo's more of a pest and rinaldo an agitator. carcillo has more skills as a player and can be a role guy on a top line like he was at times in philly and chicago. but he's a documented diver/embellisher. rinaldo's assets are best utilized in an agitator's role. he reminds me of steve downie with a more controlled temper but with less skill.

Yeah except when you watch the video for what will obviously be your first time, Rinaldo is tied up with Salvador.

I'd say he compares more with Patrick Kaleta.

Doubt very much Rinaldo losses to fatso. It's a can't win situation with you people. If he fights him, he is cheap for fighting the other teams star, if he doesn't he is "afraid and gutless". LOL If you guys are on here whining and crying about him though, he is doing his job, thats for sure

Rinaldo is an idiot. He WAS a much bigger idiot last year. He's seemed to gotten it under control and playing much smarter. I like Rinaldo a lot because he's got snarl to his game, is fast, and hits a ton. Now he's even drawing penalties for the team.

I think every team wishes they had a Rinaldo.

And I certainly don't see Rinaldo turtling in that confrontation with Kovalchuk. I see him engaged with Kovalchuk, Salvador jumps in, he wrestles with Salvador while Schenn and Kovy get their thing going elsewhere. Not the definition of turtling. If anything, I believe Rinaldo was seeing if he could goad Kovy into heading to the box and not fighting. There is no way Rinaldo is afraid of fighting Ilya Kovalchuk.

Zac Rinaldo

Every time the Flyers play the Bruins Rinaldo will drop the gloves against Gregory Campbell, but when Shawn Thornton or Milan Lucic challenge him to a fight he crawls back under the rock he came from.

Zac Rinaldo 5'11", 169 lbs

Milan Lucic 6'4'', 220 lbs

Shawn Thornton 6'2", 217 lbs

but of course it doesn't matter for you behind your PC.

Rinaldo is an agitator who will drop the gloves with other guys in his class.

To expect, he'll be willingly a punching-bag for the heavyweights of the Bruins is plain absurd.

Therefore we have Sestito and Shelley on our roster.

I think he's going to be one of the best agitators in the league. He's paid to a job and he does it well. He will grow out of taking the bad penalties as he gets older and cuter.

By getting Kovy off the ice for 5 mins he's done his job thats a trade i will take any day its like when Rosehill and Orr fought Lucic who cares who wins the fight they got a first line player out of the game for a while.

Its surprising to see him listed so small at 169 that's smaller than Brierre.

Just looked it up- he's listed as the 5th lightest player in the league this year.

Never would have guessed.

Rinaldo's in the league because a watered down 30 team leaves spots open for a useless slug on someone's roster.

He's certainly not 5'11 either, I've stood next to him before.
