Justin Schultz
Dougie Hamilton
Jonas Brodin

Could you be more specific with what you're expecting? "Young player" is somewhat broad. That could cover a 17 - 26 yrs old range...

Right now(so far this season), I would order them like this (future not included) and I will use 23 as the max. So 2008 draft or younger.

1. Hedman tied with Pietrangelo
3. OEL
4. Doughty
5. Larsson
6. Fowler
7. Hamonic
8. Hamilton
9. Schultz
10. Del Zotto

Karlsson isn't a TWD for me so he is out and Schultz is more of a offensive D as well, so he is only at 10.

you better add brodin to the top 10. he is playing very well for a 19 year old. If he keeps improving which he should with just more experience, he could be one of the best in the future

Absolutely. By the end of the year Brodin and Hamilton are probably the biggest risers.

OEL
Pietrangelo
McDonough
Doughty (the 2010 Team Canada would be #1 AINEC)
Subban
Hedman
Shattenkirk
Harmonic
Hamilton
Schultz

Anyone consider Karlsson all-around? Wondering because everytime I see him play, I see a wizard with the puck but weaker on the defensive side.

Brodin looks pretty comfortable out on the ice for the most part. I have only seen him make 1 big mistake. Otherwise his poise is amazing, he looks awesome out there with Suter

To be fair he is weaker on the defensive side but that is only because he is one of the best offensive players in the nhl

Exactly, my point. I have seen him play this year as well.... Stud with a puck but I won't put him in the category of all-round d. Some people criticized Subban for the same problem, he has elevated his two way play but his offensive abilities are nothing like Karlssons'.

Anyway, I think OEL is hands down the best all-round d.
