I also wouldn't be against calling up Gardiner to play on the wing with Kadri, just to get him back into the NHL and the NHL speed. Worked with Kaberle a few years ago, ironically, also against the canes lol.
I would consider bringing up Connolly as a temp replacement. Even if we did loose him on waivers Oh well or do the Leafs consider that bridge burnt?

Reimer and Frattin both out the week I pick them in Fantasy... let's all hope my 3rd Leaf (Kessel) stays out of the infirmary.

This thread title is pretty misleading for something that, as far as I can tell, is a routine follow-up to his off-season surgery.

Don't worry. I just dropped Grabovski from my team, meaning he'll carry the offence from here on out.

It doesnt look like we are calling up a forward, but just to let everyone know, re-entry waivers doesnt exist anymore.

So we could call Connolly up with no issues. Of course, he'd need to clear to be sent back down

Doesn't sound like a big deal. He'll be back in no time.

That's Ottawa for you. Really can't feel bad about Frattin missing a week after that.

Exactly - Karlson is gone for the season.

Unlike the tank morons, I am looking to see how the team does without its #1 goalie, 2 of its top forwards and Gunnar... this is serious character building stuff. If they can stay afloat and be still in the race after this, we might have something here.

No kidding. Talk about putting things in perspective. There are a lot worse things that can happen. Really feel bad for Karlsson.

now would be the best time for Kessel to start scoring like he did early last year, or this team is going to have a rough week which could unsteady the ship.

I know 1 week doesnt sound like a big deal, but this team tends to fall off a cliff once they struggle badly for 1-2 weeks in a row. I'm also worried about Leaf Fans mental health

Kessel is creating offence for JVR, his playmaking is underrated and he attracts attention that opens up space for Bozie and JVR.

I think our highest paid fwd is the one that has to pick it up, pointless in the last 8 games, more glaring is his lack of production.

Something tells me it's going to be a little bit more then a week ,if he is being scoped.

I have been scoped 4 times and your better to look at it as a 2 week lay off till NHL ready.

It was 2 weeks just to return to factory work.

Connolly would have to pass through re-entry waivers would he not?

I was feeling pretty bad about all of our injuries and then Karlsson happened...felt bad...and then the news on his injury popped up. I felt good about our team..

I feel as thought Frattin isn't THAT much of big deal to lose. He is doing great and is arguably one our best players thus far, but without Kadri centering him or getting lucky bounces he wouldn't have as many points as he has. Kessel gets chance after chance and is trying to make things happen... Frattin just gets easy bounces. So I wouldn't look too much in it. I'm going to get ****ed by you guys so im sorry in advance.

Seriously, we can whine all we want but Ottawas very promising season is pretty ****ed. I feel bad for them, but they'll get a solid draft pick and come back strong next season.

Hopefully Frattin can get back in the lineup in a week or two.
