And the other thing, the last player to wear #42 is retiring. Not sure who the second to last was, but he's been the only one for a while.

I heard something interesting the other day. 12 men have stepped foot on the moon, and only 11 earned runs have been scored against him (only has allowed 2 earned runs). But the more incredible thing is that he has only surrendered 2 hr in 141 playoff innings (to Sandy Alomar Jr and Jay Payton ).

O/T Thank you Rivera

Whether you love or hate the Yankees, if ur a fan of baseball this guy was the epitome of it. A class act humbled man who played the game as if he were a kid. He simply loved everything about the game. There wont ever be another who was as dominant for so long doing it with pure class and humbleness. I dunno if this is allowed but if not delete it. We should all be blessed that we got to experience the journey if your a baseball fan. Thank you Mo, u will be missed

This is why all greats should retire ala Gretzky and Messier by announcing their retirements just prior to their last games.

Now we are treated to a whole season of the Rivera farewell tour and it's going to be over the top.

She is a noted baseball expert and basically lived in an apartment in NYC watching the entire season on 8 or 9 different TV's last year as part of MLB program

She's legit

Wish I could join that program lol, just sit in front of TV's all night watching baseball all day

Good life

Quite the silver lining.
It's true. Mo even went as far as to say after the Yanks lost to Arizona that he was glad he lost the World Series, because it saved his friend's life.
