I agree. Unless he ***** the bed, or doesn't show up in a losing cause, he deserves to be in the net.

On a side note, how awesome would it have been to see Jagr play on a line with Cervenka and Hudler? Regardless, pretty happy right now. Tanguay looked good playing between them too.

Agreed. I'd love to see a Glen - Cervenka - Hudler pp at some point this year.

Then it all balances out. This team needs to clean things up in their own end zone.

Irving has to start against St.Louis. After that, there's a back-to-back coming up on Sunday and Monday. Start Irving against the Stars and let MacDonald go against the Coyotes.

Not disagreeing, I think Glencross needs to play more pk Comeau and Begin need to not see the ice on the pk and I would try to bring in a pk expert. I big blow is not having Bouma he was real good last year and was expected to play a big role on the pk this year.

Nice to put a touchdown on the board. Iggy with his best game of the season. Irving still makes me nervous!

So far this year Hudler,Wideman,Cervenka have a combined 22 points that a lot of offense to add to the team for only 10 million.

Yeah. Hopefully he will rebound from his surgery whenever he returns.

The next three games will give a much better idea of where this team stands IMO, were playing three teams that we are chasing in the standings, very very important points

Had a midterm tonight so only really caught the last half of the third. Nice to see some offense contribution from everybody. This is an offense by committee kind of club, so it was great to see so many guys get on the scoresheet.

We're slowly inching our way up in the standings.

Couldn't agree more. It's easy to get all excited about putting up 7 goals, but we are playing what many considered/consider a contender, and they will be hungry for a win. I'm interested to see how we match up against a probable top west team.

Great game by the Flames.
Some break downs defensively, but I'll take a 7-4 win any day of the week. No bad Flame tonight, in my opinion. Everyone played hard, did their job.

I don't think it's necessary to bring Comeau onto the Tanguay/Hudler line instead of Cervenka when you're protecting the lead. I know Comeau is more defensive oriented (I Guess? Seems more like a TO machine most games) but I'll take Cervenka's hand-eye to knock a puck out of the zone over Comeau any day.

I feel for Byron, so badly. He was flying tonight... Cannot stand that he gets busted up, because he's hurt the play breaks down in the defensive end they end up scoring... While there's no penalty on the play, and the poor kid's out of the big leagues for probably the rest of the season. What a **** sequence of events.

Cervenka, assuming he could put it together on NA ice. I agree though, it's more of a fantasy line and is definitely not ideal or practical in terms of being a 'complete' line haha. I do think they could create some fantastic chemistry, however.

It is tough to critique Irving.

At times he is extremely active in the net and over commits to the shooter, while at other times he is calm, composed and positionally solid.

He is prone to allowing soft goals on a consistent basis, but routinely makes the difficult save when the team needs it the most. That could be due to his relative inexperience at the NHL level, or could be a common trait of his moving forward. If those issues remain a constant then he likely ends up as a solid back up goaltender, but if he can slowly work those kinks out then he has the ability to be a starter at some point.

He has started eleven games in his nhl career and has managed to get his team a point in seven of those. That is an encouraging sign and should bode well for him moving forward.

I will say this again.

I ****ing love Wideman.. Dude is just a beast with the puck in the offensive zone, always knows the right play, whether it be shoot or pass. And he's seemingly solid defensively to boot. Absolutely love that signing now. PS. Hudlers no bum either
