Not to be a negative nancy but this there are way better goals every night in hockey usually. Seriously you must not watch much hockey.
I didn't think this goal by clarke macarthur and kadri was near thread worthy but it's better than then 2 little stationary moves.
You took all this time to post how a goal wasn't thread worthy when you could have easily ignored it and let it die if it wasn't "worthy" of being a thread for a day or so.
And that move is a cross crease. Happens all the time. You don't see guys dangle a foot away from the goaltender very often, especially not from rookies like Tatar.
lol Yeah, you're right, how dare a 10 year vet like Tatar take advantage of a kid starting his first NHL game.... And only a 22 year-old goal tender would have let that one in. Any other goalie in the NHL would have stopped that ho-hum move.
The more I watch Tatar and Nyquist the more I wish Cleary and Samuelsson would blow their knees out...

There's no reason bums in their mid 30s should be wasting the roster spots these guys have earned. They're not benefitting from sitting in the AHL anymore.

I like knowing the Wings future looks bright,most think they will fall off the map.The kids look like they belong in the NHL. It's a long grind so they might need a little more grooming.
Nice goal but that is some absolutely horrendous defending on the part of Pietrangelo and Reaves. Talk about watching a guy do whatever he wants to your goaltender.

They were too busy trying to figure out why Datsyuk was wearing Tatar's jersey.
Tartar is fine in our bottom 6. It is starting to look like he may have earned a spot there for the rest of the season. I think Babcock would like to play Nyquist and Tartar but they are both somewhat light. Tartar is the thicker of the two and has been showing he can play the grinding style that Babcock believes will help the wings win. He looks better than Nyquist in that role so far imo. He provides just enough grit while giving our bottom 6 another weapon. Right now there are not alot of weapons there. Eaves when he plays has a good shot. Helm's speed is still out of the lineup. Tartar gives us a nasty Hossa esc wrister/snap shot. He looks dangerous out there.
Let him expose the easy defenders for a bit. He can obviously play in the top six but he has the work ethic to be a good bottom 6er.
It's not like it was Zetterberg.
