maybe if the pens had better doctors they wouldn't have played him two nights later so Hedman could finish the job?

geez - and add having to play the game on ice - that's slippery!

I dont see definite evidence either. Sorry if it seemed like I was aiming my post at you,i wasnt. Just wanted to respond to the stabbing aspect.

So the question of "intent" should be completely tosses aside and even accidents should be punishable just the same based on a player's history? Laughable.

THIS is an intentional stomp:

As is this:

What you guys are trying to argue concenring this incident is pointless.

I've watched the videos quite a few times.
My main bias in this, is I really don't like Cooke,
had my low level hockey ended by a schmuck like him (concussion).

This just doesn't look to me like an intentional use of the skate to
stomp or step on Karlsson.

I am bummed for the injury, and since it is Cooke, hope somebody pummels him anyway

But more than anything, hope the surgeons do the repair perfectly, and a player
like RK comes back at full speed

I think those kevlar socks should be issued to every professional league as mandatory. All of these laceration issues could be avoided.

Acctually it is when determining intent. The only thing you can go on is prior history.

Agreed, probably even introduce it at lower levels too just to get the players used to having to wear them.
