I have to disagree. I think our forth line is doing a great job cycling down low in the offensive zone and with Carolina lacking tough guys tonight could work to our advantage.

They were excellent against the Flyers.

Another one who is undervaluing the loss of McClement on that line. See previous posts.

if they play a physical game like we have been seeing (Montreal game) then i think they will do fine. its not like they dominate every game in the past four. its just good body play wearing down the other team and capitalizing on the scoring chances.

Leafs tv is brutal. I am aware its only a couple bucks a month, but its the principal.

after being locked out for 113 days were now charged a small fee to WATCH on TV a hand full of leafs games.

This year should be free

If you think any tv is free then you aren't the one paying the cable bill.

Theres a difference. CBC TSN and SNO are all provided with basic cable and are owned by separate companies. Leafs TV is provided by MLSE, is a cost in addition for basic cable, and causes a blackout of games watched through another source (NHL network for example). Its not fair, a waste of money and ridiculous that the games on it are a lot more frequent in a shortened season.

Leafs tv is not a waste of money, during the regular season that is.

Now the summer, that's another story lol.

I wish they showed Marlies games though...

Still disagree, Steckel might not be as good as McClement but he is capable of filling the role on the forth line. Plus our forth line won't play more than four minutes total or 2 - 3 shifts per period anyways.

Some posters just like to provide "witty" tangential barbs to the discussions; it's what makes them unique.

They play like 5-10 games over an 82gp season and offer no other interesting programming during the season or in the offseason.

There's no doubt in my mind it's a waste of money and huge moneygrab by MLSE.

Fair enough, your opinion's valid of course. Hopefully they don't play as much as they did in the Philly game because Steckel is a total stiff, imo.

I'd just like to see McClement stick there, and see Hamilton or even Colborne called up to play in Frattin's spot instead of inserting Steckel there if you keep McClement on the 4th.

Agreed, the programming is terrible other than Behind the Draft- which you can easily access online @ YT.

That's subjective.

I actually enjoy watching "Leafs Today" or open practices etc. I also enjoy all the pre/post game analysis offered, along with the interviews of the player.

The summer is a waste of money though.

I would have liked to see Ashton called up to replace Frattin on Kadri's line. Steckel is awful, and McClement makes the fourth line tick.

Tough with all of our injuries.

Hoping for a win, but won't be devastated if we don't get the 2 points.

I'm guessing that's exactly what the Leaf's gameplan will be. A young, in-experienced and non-physical defense so forecheck the **** out of them and force them into making mistakes. Sanguinetti, McBain and even Faulk are young and still make mistakes consistent with being a young defenseman..and Corvo makes mistakes consistent with..well being Corvo). It also prevents them from getting the puck to the forwards to get the Canes offense going (which is where Pitkanen will be missed most). If the Canes get in the box, they will be in trouble as they've given up 5 goals out of 9 PK's in the last 2 games (with Gleason and Pitkanen in the line-up).

On the flipside, the Canes should strive to get as much traffic in front of Scrivens as possible and fire shots from everywhere.

This could turn into a high scoring game.
