Stamkos is the Lightning MVP overall, but this season so far, it's Victor Hedman. Honestly the best and most consistent player we have this year.

I think people are misinterpreting the OP. He's asking which player on each team you think has the most trade value, not who's been playing the best.

If we're going trade value, I'd say McDonagh has more than Lundqvist.

...yet you still pick Spezza, Karlsson and Kesler?

Curious.

The assessment here is brutally incorrect, but JMFJ legitimately is team MVP. Honorable Mentions go to Dubinsky, Dorsett, and the Russian Rearguard (Tyutin-Nikitin).

No actually Matt Duchene has been far and away the best player on Colorado so far this season. He was playing better than Landeskog before Landeskog got injured. Johnson's value is the fact that he's the only good dman on the team but Duchene overall is the only player who consistently plays like a scoring/playmaking thread. He has to kill penalties again as well due to the moron GM not bringing in PKers plus ROR/Landeskog injured.

Last season certainly ROR and Landeskog were more valuable than Duchene.

I agree. Duchene has been a beast this year. He obviously recommitted himself in the off-season because he has been lights out. But the OP wants to know who has the most trade value, not who has been the actual MVP. And in this case, I still don't think you can say that is Duchene over Landeskog, even if he is damaged goods (But Duchene >>>> value than Johnson)

Best trade value? Probably Schneider.

MVP for the season thus far? Roberto Schneider or Cory Luongo. Either of our two headed goalie monster.

For Ottawa:

-Craig Anderson has been the MVP.
-Erik Karlsson is the team's most valuable asset.

Any person who has said Giroux for the flyers should watch a couple of flyers games. Bryz has been the best player, by a large margin. Giroux has been almost non existent this year so far.

So far this year in Chicago it's Kane AINEC.
But it's a small sample.

Anyway, I think it's erroneous to say that Lundqvist makes a team an instant contender. Last year was the first year in his career that the Rangers were a contender.
I'd say he gives any team a chance to make the playoffs. I mean seriously look at some of the teams we've iced that he's dragged into the playoffs.

I would put Fowler right there with Bobby. 21 year old top pairing dman signed at a good deal through 2017-18.

I don't see anyone taking over MVP for Montreal from Price any time soon...

Just saying.

For Edmonton its Dubnyk, no idea why people are saying RNH...

If it wasn't for him we would be in the basement yet again.

Ottawa: Craig Anderson. Even pre Karlsson injury, not even close; he's the best goalie in the league right now and he's the only reason the team is even out of the toilet right now.
