No. Columbus has them beat THIS year.

Just look at that team. My goodness. And they are healthy.

even now I don't think Ottawa is the worst team in the division let alone worst in years.

A bad team has no goaltending...Ottawa does
A bad team isn't a team hurt by injuries, it's a team who loses full strength.

Even with Karlsson I don't believe this team would have made the playoffs, without him they will add another solid building block and be much better in the future

Long time Sens fans *know* bad teams. This is not the NHL's 'worst team in years'. I think a lot of people just base their opinions on name-recognition; do these guys get talked about on TSN a lot? This is not a Cup contender by a long shot, and will probably miss the playoffs too, but there are a lot of very useful players on the Sens.

I donít think you quite understand how means work. Losing Karlsson and Spezza to injury is the equivalent of giving them ľ of a test but scoring them on the whole thing.

If Ottawa were to come back to the mean, their best players would be: (1) playing and (2) slumping.

We're not even the worst team this year. This is an unnecessary panic thread.

I fully agree with the last sentence, but the most out of this group still isn't very much.
So they're good enough to push Nick Foligno down our depth chart? I can't see why that would be reason for complaint...

They're pretty friggin bad. Bottom 5 for damn sure.

We'll have to see how many games Anderson can steal for us.

Maybe it seems that way on paper, but not on the ice. Also missing Latendresse, Regin, etc. Wow, an entire team gone from injury, just like the Pens two years ago.

I know sports fan love the hypothesizing and the debating and the speculation, but opening a thread like this before we've even played a game yet after the Karlsson injury? C'mon now....

At least give us a couple of weeks or so to pretend it hasn't happened.

They aren't even close to being the worse team this year. Sucks to lose Spezza and a Norris trophy winner but someone else will step up and fill in as best they can.

They probably won't get in the playoffs but I wasn't sure they would even before last night.

Unless Anderson became a god this offseason and keeps this up all year, they'll be a bad team, but when a goalie's hot like this they can beat anyone on any given night.

Anderson is playing amazing but he's not a top ten goalie. He's to inconsistent.

Anderson, Gonchar, Methot are alright, but otherwise I'm rather pessimistic about the season. If Zibanejad and Silfverberg can do something like what Frattin and Kadri are doing there might be some hope after all.

Lol I don't like the sens and I would like you guys to be a lottery team but IMO the sens will still be fighting for a playoff spot, they're still a balanced team even without Spezza and Karlsson

I hate the sens with a fiery passion... but the worst team in years wouldn't have a Vezina frontrunner in net.

Can't believe colorados been left out. With ror not signed, landeskog injured, downie out for season, Erik Johnson injured, I'm pretty confident we're down there.

I want to see this team battle, but then, I don't want them to end up 9th in the East. Ugh.

Let's see how it goes on Saturday.

Penguins had Crosby, Malkin and Staal all injured at the same time a few years back...
