Crazy Box Scores

March 5th, 2004 - Senators vs Flyers NHL single game penalty record

That was a good one. Anyone else have any crazy scoresheets, at any level? Video optional.

Best part of that box score is Kim mother freaking Johnsson scoring a PPG.

I like that Chara got in a fight, and when I looked to see who he fought, it was Mattias Timander. That was his last season in the NHL.

Here's the newspaper box score from Darryl Sittler's 10 point night in 1979:

Nice way to cap the night after finishing the second period with 7 points: a natural hat trick in the third period.

That Blackhawks Flames one is great. Flames Flames Flames Flames Flames Blackhawks Blackhawks Blackhawks Blackhawks Blackhawks Blackhawks. John Madden flipped the switch with that late 1st period goal.

iirc Chara took the faceoff for that, it was seconds after the last dust-up and when the puck was dropped Chara just jumped him.

Here's a text version of the score sheet where Randy Holt of the LA Kings set the NHL single game single player penalty record with 67. Not sure how he and Frank Bathe got 2 fighting majors each at 14:58. Also, I don't know if he went to the penalty box or what, but I guess he got into it again at the end of the period, because with the misconduct he shouldn't have been back on the ice.

Yeah, he got the instigator I believe. Timander was just holding on for dear life.

gotta love the quotes by Greg Gilbert a the bottom

When the goalie comes out to play the puck, he's fair game,"
Flames coach Greg Gilbert said. "If Craig Berube wanted to,
Giguere would be in the hospital right now."

Bruins vs Bolts game 7 in 2011 is crazy on the other way - one goal and no penalties.

That one is pretty good. If you didn't know better, it's like they didn't even play a hockey game.

How the hell did Brashear get 34 PIM in one game. Like how many fighting majors and misconducts did he get?

I remember what caused that too

********* Havlat cross-checked Recchi in the mouth the previous game. Guess where Havlat was when all the fighting went down? Hiding on the bench
