I don't know about this. York's come in here and been very valuable to the organization... all but untouchable.

Whereas Poti put up great numbers as soon as he went to New York, but he was in almost all of the Ranger trade rumours over the summer, and Sather stated his displeasure two years in a row about having to go to arbitration with him.

We do need a puck moving defenseman, but we don't need a liability. I'd rather have Bergeron than Poti.

I'm with thome on this one in player value, but Poti was not really a team guy and does not have a lot of heart + his selfishness/greed are not Oiler attributes. I like York better and would rather have him on my team but in the ruthless business "win above all else" perspective Poti is obviously the better choice.

The guy I always wanted here the most was Brind'Amour, I can't believe he's been traded twice. He'd still be a great acquisition at the deadline for a team with serious aspirations but the Oil definitely couldn't afford him long term.

On d I always thought that Filip Kuba and Paul Laus might be a couple of really good players who wouldn't cost a lot in a trade, but Laus career is pretty much over and there's no way Minny would trade with us.
