Beautiful country. I'd love to collect pro athlete paychecks while living there.

Not that I really know much about the guy, but that seems like a very Johnny Oduya type of thing to do.

I know, right? I had no idea. I have family in Bangkok, so if I ever go back there, i'll have to check it out.

Last time I was there, I lost 20 lbs in 2 weeks just sweating. It's pretty hot there.

It appears theres at least some connection for Oduya to go there. Quite bizzare if he just decided to pack his bags and go to some Asian country where hockey is almost non-existant.

Quote:
Thai National star Tewin “Thor” Chartsuwan skated on the Farangs top line with Swiss speedster Jurg Dolder and Swedish ace Henrik Olafsson. Likit Neimwan-Andersson, the only Thai to ever play professional ice hockey, teamed up with Oduya on defense. Likit had played with Oduya’s brother Freddy years earlier in Sweden.
Could open interesting marketing possibilities as far as jerseys etc. since hockey by the NHL is almost non-existent in Asia.

Once upon a time, Oduya was a tough guy. 2 seasons in QMJHL with 100+ PIM and same in the SEL. His brother was a goon. Since playing in the NHL he have been one of the softest player in the NHL. So sad...

I'm much more comfortable with a solid #4-5 two way defender then having John Scott on the team.
