Seemed like we got lucky that Toews didn't gift the Sharks 6 minutes of PP time. Still not sure what he was thinking. On top of the penalties, you don't want to see a player like him who's had concussion issues in the past instigating fights.

He's a big boy. Maybe he felt it was necessary to push back instead of being pushed around.

This is Toews we are talking about. You know his history, to call anything he does selfish is hilarious.

Concussion wasn't the overreaction. It was your statement that this cost us the game. You always seem to bring up new points to debate that have nothing to do with what is originally being discussed.

I don't blame him one bit. Good for Toews.
I blame the rest of these guys for letting your captain get punked like and that no response. People are willing to protect Mayers but not Toews, come on guys.

6 minute PK would have been very difficult to kill even for our PK unit ,, If it would have been called correctly

Yep, that's a problem but this team is soft as jello.

I'm all for Toews not dropping the gloves. I am certainly willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on this because it's wildly out of character.

Saying Toews PROBABLY cost the team the game, halfway through the first period by bringing a team with a great PK down a man is such negative loser talk.

Even if they scored a goal the game wouldn't be over. Dear lord. Hyperbole.. you need to use less of it.

Toews dropping them is as foolish as Cutler head first dives given the history of concussions

Toews should never drop them

And it could have cost Hawks game if refs called it right.. Toews also should have gotten a 10 min misconduct penalty if called correctly

The Sharks announcers are blaming the refs for everything. Toews should be suspended for the rest of the NHL history.

Bolland should be in the box for the Marleau penalty.

The ref pissed in Niemis face to cost him the rebound that Bolland scored on.

I don't either. Dam I wish Hawks were tougher. Thornton should have to pay and it shouldn't be 19 doing the retribution.

These Shark announcers are huge whiners. They were just as bad in the last game.

And he doesn't.

Saying it could have and it probably did are two very, very different things. Apples and garden hoses.

Who are the Sharks announcers?

I dont recall ever watching a game in which they do play by play

Usually when CI has free preview I watch the opposing team feed because I dont like the camera angles/lights the Sharks use for broadcast

Drew Remenda is an idiot. I listened to one of his rants and lost all respect.

Easy for you to say. You didn't sit around the house for weeks wondering if you would ever be right again. Toews let his emotion get the better of him.

I love Brandon Saad on the top line with Toews but for games like this one I really can't wait to have Carcillo back on Toews line to keep guys like Thornton distracted.

Toews was punched in the head several times last year by Thorton without fighting, he probably figured I might as well fight back.

And you don't even say anything to him about it if you're Q. He's not Daniel Carcillo or Ben Eager. He doesn't take stupid penalties or lose his head. The one time in a very long time it does, you shrug it off and know he had a damn good reason.
