Nothing better than HNIC on a Friday with your favourite team playing! A lot of things to watch for tonight as well with Bogo's return.

#1 thing I'm looking for tonight is at least 1:30PPTOI for Burmistrov. Does he not look like a perfect half-wall passer?

Although Noel will probably give him the usual 29 seconds. . . .

3rd line -0.218 50.9 -11.3 -07.39 3.87

1st pair 0.026 48.6 -09.9 -04.73 0.92
2nd pair -0.804 51.7 11.4 10.04 2.82
3rd pair -0.627 54.8 07.4 07.39 2.31
note: I'm too lazy to do their on-ice sh%
First/Second line: Wow! Malkin has WAY easier minutes, and while he's doing well relative to an everyday player, he is no Crosby. Crosby OZS is 45.8% and tougher QoC, Malkin 70.1%... but Crosby it out chancing his opponents by about 50% and out scoring 30% above Malking
3rd line: Don't get me wrong, Sutter is an admirable 3C, but he is no JStaal. This line was beating tougher competition with Staal, but now is still facing toughs (although not as hard) and losing
4th line: Can't say I miss Glass. Sure he's tough but that's about it. He's barely doing different than last season but way easier minutes than last season, and although last season he was middle of the road for the line, this season he seems to be the weak link of the line. At least in PIT he's getting the right TOI/game on a 4th line now.
1st pair: Martin = good, Orpik = bad bad (so far this season). The difference between the D in each pair makes it seem like there has been some line changes like the Jets.
2nd pair: Both Niskanen and Letang are scoring per min more than either Enstrom or Byfuglien for 5v5 (so good offense) but under much easier minutes.
3rd pair: nice scoring and possession but super sheltered.

TJW -0.560 53.6 09.4 08.86 1.37 08.54

Ha-Bo 0.080 46.2 -12.4 -7.19 1.39 7.26
St-Re -0.387 45.6 04.6 6.14 0.94 6.31
LLW: Decent scoring, more so than last seasons LLW, but the possession (while been improving consistently) is still negative.
KBA: Return of Kane with Burmistrov. Last season KBA spent a short time together and wasn't that great, so lets hope for improvement. Kane is the only player who is scoring ok but all three players have around 6% on-ice sh% which is pretty low for top6 players... so that may bounce up.
TJW: This scoring seems low as Tangradi has 0 ES points in 5 games, and Antropov is underscoring for his TOI. Wellwood has best scoring and possession for this line, but it should be noted that Tangradi had good possession numbers before he left, although it's tough to know if that was Malkin/Crosby posting him up.
WST: It's a 4th line but man is Wright looking like a 5v5 and PK upgrade on Glass (and with youth).
En-Bu: I'm sure this pairs possession will improve, as they were both the only positive D last season, and were both positive before Buff went down. They do score nicely, and even nicer on PP (PP not shown).
Ha-Bo: Well, Hainsey has been overworked, so hopefully back with Bogosian and split of workload between the top two pairs like last season, we'll start to see improvement here. (I used Bogo's stats from last season ).
St-Re: This pair took middle of the road minutes together and did pretty good... Now they get to feast on soft minutes... I hope their success continues.

Goalies:
Pavelec 0.886 sv%
Vokoun 0.916 sv%
Yup... no comment...

PIT Fenwick
Home: 56.39 (2nd in East)
Away: 49.22 (14th in East)
Close: 52.20 (4th in East)
Tied: 50.51 (8th in East)
WPG Fenwick
Home: 51.76 (9th in East)
Away: 51.61 (2nd in East)
Close: 51.69 (7th in East)
Tied: 57.61 (1st in East)
Well... looks like we've had issues being a tough home-team as we were last season (3rd in East), and they've had issues with being a good away team. Wonder which cracks first?

Team Stats
Team5v5 SF/605v5 SA/605v4 SF/604v5 SA/60
WPG 6th 2nd 15th 6th
PIT 4th 6th 4th 11th
Maybe with Buff and Bogo back our PP won't be so terrible for shots especially with PITs difficulty in stoping shots against...

Good breakdown Garret. Crosby is a machine that's for sure. Hopefully Pavelec can pull up his socks and steal one because even if we 1-2-2 it again this game is gonna have a high pace and we're going to give up some chances.

Thanks Garret. I might not comment on the stats all the time but I definitely read through and appreciate them.

Peluso, postma, and clitsome arent taking part of the warmup. Evander kane seems to have a normal haircut.

I'm excited about Bogo's return but I'll temper my feelings as it may take him a game or two to get back into full swing (expect the worse but hope for the best)

Tangradi is #27. Bogosian took lots of slappers during the warmup.

hopefully he hits the net a lot more than last season with a new wrist...
I think (too lazy to check) he lead the team with missed shots/min...

I'll keep my eye on this game tonight in the hope that for some reason there will be another round of Kane vs Cooke. With the same result of course.
