JS Giguere Leaves Team Until Sunday; Pickard Recalled
Good news for a young Avalanche prospect in Pickard, but hope everything is ok with JS and his family.

I hope it's not his son taking a turn for the worse. He's had health issues for years.

Doubt Pickard would get any playing time except if Varlamov destroys his groin while rollerblading with his girlfriend.

Hope everything is ok with Jiggy and his family. I know it probably won't happen but I'd love to just see a bit of Pickard in the NHL.

That he has a timetable to return so quickly makes it seem pretty benign. Nevertheless, hope all is well.

He forgot his Gatorade recipe and needs to travel down to Georgia (or is it Florida?) to their HQ and get it so he doesn't dehydrate.

30 ml sugar and 2.5 ml salt in 1 liter water. Eat a banana with it.

Going to murder the ref from last night, and needs time to hide the body.

Love Jiggy. Guy is competitive and does what a vet does, talks to the ref. Shows emotion too, doesn't say "oh I'm the back-up so who cares" he goes out there like a true professional. Maybe he should pull the Roy on Sacco's coaching office.

Pickard is definitely NOT ready to pla an NHL game.
However, just being around the team for a couple days will be a nice little learning experience for him.
He'll no doubt return to the A more confident as a result.
Anyway, hope everything is ok with Jiggy.
Love the guy, haven't been happy with our goaltending situation since Roy left.

Knowing the situation with his child, you get a little bit of a lump in your stomach when you hear this. I hope it's nothing major.

He'll go home with a little more pocket change, too, eh?

In all seriousness I hope all is well with his family. I did not know his kid had health issues. It always hard when its the young ones that have health problems. My cousin's daughter got cancer on her brain stem and age 6...she passed away a year later and I would never wish that on anyone.
Giggy our thoughts are with you!

Hope everything's alright with Jiggy.
Also hope Pickard doesn't have to get thrown in behind this team.

No rookie goalie deserves to be put behind our current D

He has a lot of experience playing behind a terrible d.
