Boucher hasn't been good by any stretch but he's not to blame for the crappy overall team play

Boosh has had to be much better then Budaj for example

And now Lavy breaks up the Schenn, McGinn and Voracek line completely putting them on 3 desperate lines regardless of the fact that they were the teams best line for several games in a row

Obviously, but there is no chance we finish last in the league.

We'll be pretty close after tonight

It's so much less fun to mock the fruitiest chant in North America now that the arena tries to spark it up.

10 years ago every Habs fan alive would have been aghast if they knew that would be done.

Has lost the room, has smashed his final coke machine and is about to take his final timeout.

Enjoy your last 10 minutes as head coach of the Philadelphia Flyers, take it all in.

What a joke this third period has been. 9:15 played so far and not a chance to speak of. We've gone further behind and barely had the puck in their zone.

Montreal are one of the worst third period teams in the league and they're skating rings around us, literally.

I can't find the words to adequately describe how disgusted I am with this over-paid bunch of lazy, over-paid *****.

With how Bryz has been this season, Hartnell and Mez coming back, and you have to assume Roo makes a breakthrough sooner or later you honestly think we will stay there?

"However, as stunning as their fall from grace was the previous season, Stevens guided the Flyers to an immediate renaissance in 2007–08. The Flyers won 42 games and amassed 95 points in the regular season under Stevens's guidance. In the playoffs, the Flyers beat the Washington Capitals in the first round and upset the top-seeded Montreal Canadiens in the second round before falling to the Pittsburgh Penguins in the Eastern Conference Finals. For this, The Hockey News honored Stevens with their Coach of the Year award.
Stevens was fired by the Flyers on December 4, 2009 after a 13–11–1 start and with a team expected to be a Stanley Cup favorite sitting in 10th place in the Eastern Conference."

So if Stevens was fired with a winning record and in 10th place, what happens to a guy who's team is multiple games below .500 and next to last?

keep him and find someone else to blame..

perhaps making a trade for someone completly unneeded.

oh and of course resign Shelley to another 5 years .

Giroux is not the leader this team needs, he is our best player and should not be the captain, he should lead by putting pucks in the net.

I will forever hate the leafs for hurting Pronger
This, a thousand times over.

Giroux is still too immature to lead this team. Problem is, I don't see an actual on-ice leader on this team. Timonen is closest, but he's still more suited to be an A. This team has still not recovered from losing Pronger.

I just don't know. I was against firing Lavy or making a panic trade but this team can't seem to do anything. Right now they are skating like they know they won't win this game.

( oh wait, we are ........ )
its rather pathetic to watch
i feel like i am watching the winnipeg jets 1.0 and 2.0

So this has been a crappy night. I keep seeing the fire Lavy comments, which I won't dispute, but what coaches are available to replace him and not just a patch job?

they're going to trade Voracek - Holmgren will make an example out of the non-Canadian kid.

Snider needs to see that his Clarke-Holmgren philosophy is just getting older. He needs to make a business decision. Loyalty is a great thing and all but when things clearly are not working out - you're not doing anybody any favors.

Timonen... hey I got a great idea - that old little guy who keeps saying "maybe another year" after every season - let's give him 6 million dollars for him to do us a favor and come back 1 more time.
