Young guns weren't that bad, we were outshooting Toronto at one time.
Methot a monster still.
Gryba messed up a little bit
Smith nailed Kessel
Turris and Alfie looked average, both were really trying to "lead" the team. (Alfie more than usual)
Zibby + Silfy looked one dimensional. Zibby looked slow skating.
I didnt even know Greening was inthis game.
JOB had some presence.
Thanks mate.

I love Methot. What a signing.

**** happens. I still believe we can clinch a playoff-spot

Reason were loosing is our PP. just can't gain momentum/ low in skilled forwards.

A couple of my thoughts on tonights game...

Da Bosta was probably our best forward. He had some great plays, some big hits (surprisingly) and was great at controlling the puck and the flow when he was on the ice.

DD needs some new skates. I thought he was playing ok but he must have fallen down 5 or 6 times in key situations.

Our defense was solid. They have zero offensive skill but they were great at preventing scoring chances. I would have like to see Weir in to help them break out because they were struggling coming out of the zone.

How many times do people have to say that Bosta means **** in Portuguese before people stop using it as a nickname?

I blame the defense more than the forwards for our crap PP really. We don't look that bad when set up in the offensive zone. The problem is, the zone entries are pathetic because breakout passes are behind forwards, or the defenseman will delay too long to dump the puck in, so all the forwards are standing still and can't get to the puck first.

Add in the fact that our centermen suck at winning faceoffs, so we have to try to gain the zone before we can set up.... well.... it's a terrible situation.

Turris did play mehh but at least when he had the puck he got it into the zone and tried something. Still waiting for that shot to come back..

The whole thing from top to bottom is terrible right now. They can't find shooting lanes, and can't seem to get shots in the slot, passing is sloppy, thier constantly covered and loosing board battles.

They just never ever seem to have the extra guy open and when they do they pass to much. It's a mess for sure.

I think having Wiercioch back in would help.

Gryba showed some promise too.

The Leafs really played sloppy in this game, they really should have destroyed the Sens by more. The Sens are to one dimensional.

of all the 3 ahl guys, gryba looked the best. dd and grant will be back in ahl as soon as milo and regin are ready. they just don't offer what the sens need right now.

and this was mentioned already, but zib did look slow.

I bet they will be better on Monday & this team will be better in March as they learn to deal with adversity & without Kalrsson. I would like to see Wiercioch on Monday play with Gryba who had a decent game & how about DD on the PP.
I would like to see Gryba and Wiercioch NOT play together. Let them play with ann experienced player.

The great Shaquille O'neal said it best: "Sometimes you look at the players on the other bench and you just can't motivate yourself to play against them like you would a better team."

The Sens could have won this game, had Turris and Alfie scored that is. Anderson is more than capable of standing on his head, especially versus the Leafs, a team that he has fantastic stats against.

It was a boring game, and the only real losers were the fans that watched that display of 'hockey'.

As for the injuries, both teams are suffering. Obviously the Sens have them on more of a 'grand scale' due to their team having less depth than the Leafs IMHO.

It's not gonna be pretty the rest of the way, but the good news is that we should get a pretty high draft pick and Spezza and Karlsson will be back for next year.

Love how Paul stares down a reporter in the postgame vid, that's two stare downs this year alone!

We should lock this guy up for the next 10 years or something like that. Seriously.

Not enough gooning in this game. We're gonna suck, may as well goon up and make the rest of the games entertaining.
